This tutorial is '(! for the !iteon "#$%0&. )e will show you how to successfully dump the

*+* key and update the firmware using ,ungle -lasher and a &3 ro &3 !ite or 1laster &3 and the &3 robe.

• !atest iXtreme -irmware 5s of nd 7ay 080 that is the iXtreme !T v8.84

• &ompatible 9ata &hipset )e :ecommend a +;5 6#8 < www.via6#8.com4

• 1laster &3 &3 ro or &3 !ite 1uy4

• &3 robe v8 or v 1uy4

• &3 =91 *rivers *ownload4 'nly re>uired if using =91 on the 1laster &3 or the

&3 ro. ou do not need these if using the 9erial port4

• ou will need to remove the back plate from the !iteon "#$%0& *+* ? ee This age

7ake sure you have the latest iXtreme in the ,ungle -lasher firmware folder. ;n this tutorial we

are using a +;5 6#8 95T5 card. ou need to disable the +;5 driver before using it with ,ungle

-lasher to prevent your system locking up when reading/writing the !iteon drive. ;f you are not

using a +;5 95T5 &ard you can skip this step.

To disable the +;5 driver2

)e are now ready to use ,ungle -lasher.

&onnect your !iteon "#$%0& *+* *rive to your & using your 1laster &3 &3 ro or &3

!ite. 9tart up ,ungle -lasher and go to the *+*key 3 tab. ou might have to change the ;/'ort to find your !iteon. ;n the eGample blow the ;/' port is found at 0G*#00. 'nce you find it

you should see the drive listed under *rive properties +endor2 !*9 H (ame2 *@

'nce you have identified your !iteon you need to prepare your !iteon *+* *rive for *+*

(ow connect the &3 robe as per the following diagram. )e recommend you put some tape

over the voltage regulator so as to make it safer and prevent any unnecessary shortages.

(ow click on the *+*E3 button. ;f successful ,ungle -lasher will dump the key 6 times.

,ungle -lasher will ask you to save your ey.bin ;n>uiry.bin ;dentify.bin J 9erial.bin. ,ungle-lasher will then create a dummy.bin which holds all the information in one convenient file. ;f

you get invalid errors then your *+* tray is not pushed half way in or your &3 probe is not

connected correctly. naturally there are many reasons why you would get errors ? but those twoare the most common. ;f you followed the steps up to this point correctly you should not have

any problems.

5s soon as you click E9 you will power cycle the drive. That means shut it off for 8 second

and turn it back on. ;f everything is successful you will get good -lash &hip roperties. The
