Hi Tash! Tell us all about yourinvolvement with Little Athletics.I started when I was seven, about two years ago. I like the running events. The 70m is my favourite because it’s the shortest and I usually come fi rst in my heats. I also like that the other girls in my age group are all very nice.
Do you have any other hobbies?I like to do gymnastics – front walkovers are my favourite! I also enjoy acrodancing, which is like gymnastics but you do it to music, and my grandma has been teaching me to crochet.
What do you like to do onweekends?Sleep in! I also play with my brother and on the iPad. I only do Little Athletics during the season, but it doesn’t start back up until September. At the moment I’m doing tutoring on the weekend.
If you could spend a day withanyone in the world, who wouldyou pick and what would you dowith them?I’d love to bake cookies and cupcakes with Taylor Swift, and then afterwards we’d have a tea party!

It is also recognised as a World
Heritage site!
The Great Barrier Reef stretches for more than 2,300 km along the QLD coastline, from Tropical North Queensland down to Bundaberg. It is so big that it’s the only living thing on Earth that is visible from space. Wow!

creatures that you can see here. There
are over 30 species of whales and
dolphins, 1,625 species of fi sh, 133
species of sharks and rays, 17 species of
sea snakes, more than 100 species of
jellyfi sh, 500 species of worms, 600
types of hard and soft coral and many
more other creatures living in the Great
Barrier Reef!

Great Barrier Reef
You could dive the GreatBarrier Reef every day of yourlife and still not see the entire
reef!
Threats to the Great Barrier Reef include climate change, human impact and the crown-of-thorns starfi sh. This organism eats coral polyps, which are the things that form coral on the reef!
More than 1.5 million human visitors
come to visit each year. There are so
many things you can do like go
snorkelling or scuba diving amongst
the sea creatures and colourful coral,
take a helicopter tour, travel on a
glass-bottom boat, go whale
watching, swim with a dolphin, go on
a cruise ship tour and much more!
As well as marine life, the Great Barrier Reef is home to over 3,000 individual reef systems and coral cays, and has hundreds of islands including the Whitsundays and Northern Islands. It’s the single largest living system in the world!

This is Lucca – she’s a 12-year-old German Shepherd X Belgian Malinois and she’s a total hero! Lucca was specially trained by the Marines as an explosives search dog. She served in Iraq and Afghanistan for six years, helping the troops find bombs and other weapons. In 2012, poor Lucca was
injured by a bomb! She lost her leg but made a full recovery. Last month, Lucca received a special medal for her bravery – the PDSA

Flushed is a super fun gameshow that involves all differenttypes of skills! Two teams start
off answering questions about a variety of topics to earn time on the clock. The next stage sees the teams race against each
other and time to connect tubes to complete a link. The winner of those rounds gets to go on the leader board to win the
major prize. Their opponents get trapped in the sludge
tank, where a GIGANTIC vat of purple sludge hangs above them. Once the winning team
cranks the lever, the team in the tank gets fl ushed with the cold
purple sludge. Eeek!

What’s been the funniest thingthat’s happened on set?I crack up every time the teams look up in the Flushed tank.Sometimes I shout “look up” and the purple sludge lands right in the middle of their goggles. You can barely recognise the teams! I also fi nd it hilarious when the teams start dancing while they are covered in sludge.
Have you experienced beingFlushed yet? Yes, I’ve been Flushed a few times! I love it, for some reason I fi nd it quite refreshing. The suspense is the weirdest part. You never know when the sludge is going to land all over you… all of a sudden you can only see purple!
How do you think you wouldgo if you were a contestant? I think I’d be best at the general knowledge round. I love learning and once I hear something, I remember it! Up on the build platform, I feel like I’d need a few practice rounds before I was confi dent enough to call “link complete!”
What was the audition process like for the show?We answered some general knowledge questions and then played some games so they could see how we worked as a team.
How did you prepare for the build platformround?We just stayed calm, worked together and listened to each other’s ideas.
What are some good strategies to have for thisround?Make sure the tubes are tight and put in the right place.
How did you prepare for the Q&A round?Our parents tested us with questions every day and we did a few general knowledge quizzes online. Unfortunately, none of the questions we researched came up in the quiz!
What are your dos and don’ts for being Flushed?Be prepared to get cold and sticky and never ever look up with your mouth open!
Are there any funny moments on set that you canshare with us?The clock didn’t start a couple of times and sometimes the balls started fl ying everywhere all over the set! The crew were so nice and funny!

With so many young actors on the show,are there pranks on set?Yes, we love pranking each other! On AprilFool’s Day we gave Isaak an Oreo fi lled with deodorant instead of cream. He ran around screaming for half an hour. He told us he would get revenge in a big way, so we’re all on the lookout.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love tumbling, playing soccer, watchingmovies, and hanging out with my friendsand family.

What can we expect from your new album?I’ve been writing this second album since we started our hiatus from Season 2 of Girl Meets World and it’s something that I’m so excited about. My fans have just heard the fi rst single, which is ‘Smoke and Fire’, and they have been the best people in the world. I’m really glad they’re loving it.
How do you write songs?It’s always different! I think every song-writer has a different way of doing things. Sometimes it comes together in 15 minutes, and sometimes it takes three days! Luckily for me, I’ve been working with some really incredible songwriters who help me bring my vision to life. It’s been really fun.
Who are your musical influences?There are so many incredible people. My main infl uences are Adele, Christina Aguilera and The Beatles. Very soulful music – I like old souls!
Have you ever had a “pinch me” moment since starting your showbiz career?Well, recently, I was at the recording studio and I met Beyoncé and it was kind of crazy!There were security guards everywhere and I just walked down the hall and Beyoncé walked past and she turned around to stop and tell me that she was a fan! I was in awe, I didn’t know what to say!I’m such a big fan of hers as a person as well as an artist, she’s an all-round legend.That was an honour and a “pinch me” moment for sure!
What do you like to do when you get
free time?This is going to sound really boring but I like to write songs in my free time. I like to sit at my piano and play and sing really loudly. When no one is home except for my dog, I’ll sing at the top of my lungs and she’ll get so annoyed! Ha ha! I also like to hang with my friends and talk. I’m a talker!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?Stay humble. And appreciate what you have! Sometimes we get caught up in the moment and forget that there are so many good things happening in our lives. Take a breath. There’s so much more to come and so many doors you haven’t opened yet.

Step 1. Combine milk, peanut butter and brown sugar in a mason jar. Mix together with a spoon. If you don’t have a mason jar, use a small bowl instead.
Step 2. Add rolled oats and stir a few more times.
Step 3. Put the lid on your jar, or cover your bowl with plastic wrap. Leave your oats in the fridge overnight to set (at least 6 hours). The next day, open your jar or remove plastic wrap from bowl. Top oats with sliced strawberries, sliced kiwi and fl aked almonds.
