IntroductionHi, I’m Angel, a girl who currently lives in the world of fashion. Since then, I enjoyed mix-

ing-and-matching clothes, criticizing others looks and outfits, sketching some clothes. I am

addicted to the beauty of fashion, how new trends come and go and the ability of each one of

us to style a simple garment and turn into a marvelous one. I’m the type of person who spend

so much time thinking of what outfit will I wear and the way I dress is really a big deal for me.

Liz Uy was the one who inspired me to made this book and of course there are others too,

like Jenn Im for the styling tips that I learned from her videos and Zyra Banez to sketch. I’m

not into magazines when it comes to searching about fashion but I’m into internet. It is so

easy to browse there and i know websites that is totally helpful especially Youtube! I came

up with so many ideas and knowledge, while making this book and I can’t wait to reveal this

to you, guys.

In this book, I’ll show you how to style these 7 pieces (jeans, v-neck, skirt, shorts, button

down shirt, dress, and tank top) that we commonly have in our wardrobe. Are you bored and

annoyed how you wear these pieces over and over again? This book is perfect for you! I’ll

show you some tips and guidelines in each piece. Styling clothes take so much time, so this

book can help you reduce it and look for an idea. Look at what I’ve done in this book and I

hope you’ll enjoy!

About MeI don’t remember how or when I got addicted to fashion. I remember during my elementary days, I’ve been sketching clothes while at school and pre-tending to sell it to my classmates. Until now, I’ve been sketching clothes and I don’t care how much time I spend doing it because as long as I love what I do, I will not get tired of it. Fashion have always had a big impact on me.

I love to sketch dresses for my friends and post it in social media. I get a sense of fulfillment every time I finish a piece and I feel elated when I read positive feedbacks from my relatives and friends on my posts.

Styling and sketching has been my hobbies ever since my elementary days. Thinking what to wear is one of the most difficult things to do but the moment you find the right pieces of clothes... it is the most rewarding feeling ever! Mixing-and-matching and styling clothes has been my thing. It approximately takes me 20-30 mins to find what to wear and most often then not satisfied with the result. The first thing one should know when choosing the right clothes to wear and looking great in them, should be size and comfort. Don’t wear bottoms that are too loose for you especially shoes that are not your size because that would be a total disaster. When it comes to sketching on desktop, at first I had a difficult time adjusting to it and I even had problems in shading them with colors. Eventually, with time and patience, I kinda perfect-ed it...almost! As time goes by, I can say that my ideas and design has been improving and I’m glad. I always convince myself that not all beginners, like me, effortlessly can be professionals. All of us come from a tiny flower before we bloom into something lovely.

My works and sense of fashion, I credit it to people who inspires me so much. One of them when it comes to styling is Jenn Im. She is a stylist and she’s been responsible for styling different kinds of people. How did I get to know her? Youtube is the answer! She has a channel there and posts advice videos about fashion especially on how to style clothes. Her taste of fashion

is really on point that’s why I’m captivated by her. The first person that I really get inspired to sketch is Zyra Bañez. She’s not popular but she’s like a fa-mous designer for me because her works are so stunning just like the other known designers. I also knew her on Youtube. I am so thankful that I got to know them on the net because they are a huge help in widening my skills.

Fashion changed the way I look on things. Each person wearing their piece may have a story about it. You can dress whatever mood you are in. If you are feeling badass you can dress grungy. When you feel old fashioned you can dress retro style. Fashion simply indicates what you really are as a per-son. Fashion can speak for itself and that’s what I really like about it. For me, fashion does not have rules. You can wear whatever you want because that is your style, and your own style cannot be easily taken by others because that is yours, not theirs.

Why did I chose this program? Simply because I know that I will adore the things that we will be doing here. And I can enrich my knowledge when it comes to fashion. I believe that School of Fashion and Arts can help me take a step to reach my goals and dreams in life. I will be very grateful if I will be given a chance to study in your school. In this program (Fashion Design and Merchandising), I know I’ll learn to be more creative, come up with new ideas, trends and especially to have new fashion buddies whom I can share my passion for fashion. I hope that I will be considered in this program be-cause I strongly believe that I will build my name in this field with the help of the school’s remarkable facilities and outstanding professors.

Cut your neckline and sleeves widely then fol-low the pattern that’s given so you can make it quickly. After doing so, Feel free to tie around the cut part and pair the shirt with whatever

you wish.

Cut the sleeves and the neck line and then cut in strips the lower part of your v-neck (you can de-cide how long and wide your strips are). in the end you can leave the strips like that or you can also tie

it in the bottom of the strips.

quickly. You can make it a crop top or not.

Shoes for SHORTS

Choosing the right shoes in your outfit is essential. Why? Because shoes is like the main piece in your outfit. You should be comfortable in any shoes that you wear to achieve the perfect look. These are the different kinds of shoes that you may want

to wear in a corresponding pair of shorts.

What is good about high-waist shorts is it can elongate your legs even though you’re short and the best way to pair it is a Doc Martens Boots because it can make your legs look even finer.

This shorts is compatible for any girls. The chiffon fabric of the short is so smooth that’s why you should pair it with an open toe sandals, it will make your whole outfit a hundred dollar look.

Not all uses this kind of shorts but for me this kind of shorts is grunge-y in a good way and pairing it with a black sling-back boots can make it totally sick, and now you’re the bad-ass in town, you should definitely try this!

1. SKINNY – Figure hugging from the hips to ankle. This is a great pair of jeans for the slender figures. (Small waist, shapely hips).

2. FLARED - Flared jeans is totally fitted in thigh and it is dramatically flared from the knee to the ankle. If you’re curvy, go with this as they skim your silhouette and balance out your proportions. (Narrow shoulder and hips, undefined waist).

3. STRAIGHT - Simple, straight from hips to ankle. This jeans are fitted for the petite girls as the straight legs flatter your shape and it can emphasize your long legs. (Big on top, smaller bottom).

4. BOOT-CUT - Fitted on the thighs but not too much and slightly flared to the knee down to the ankle. This is compatible for most body shapes, especially for the curvier figure as the slight flare will balance out your hips. (Small on top, heavy bottom)
