The California State Senate has the authority (and obligation) to remove any member who has been convicted of a felony. Senator Ted Lieu has remained silent while others have called for a vote to let the Senate vote to remove Rod Wright. Ted Lieu believes that he and Rod Wright don’t just make laws, they are literally above the law.
Just last week convicted felon Senator Rod Wright introduced a bill that would allow people convicted of non-violent felonies (including himself) to have their crimes converted to misdemeanors!
