Cruz is the 10-year-old son of Jake Bilbro, recognized winemaker of Limerick Lane and friend of the foundation. Cruz asked to make a barrel of wine with his dad’s special grenache grapes. Chef Emeril purchased Cruz’s first
finished bottle at a Limerick Lane tasting, and it sparked a philanthropic partnership that they knew could make a difference. This grenache is named after Cruz, “Too’s Babor,” and boasts a hand-drawn label from the winemaker himself. In Cruz’s words, “I gave Emeril Lagasse a barrel of my wine and we are going to help a school somewhere.” Please join Cruz in his efforts to raise funds for Emeril Lagasse Foundation.
