With a great spirit of renewed joy, the Church embraces the exhortations of our Pope Francis, and recognizes in them the urgent, concrete invitation to respond to the actual challenges of our history, not only in our Church, but also, in the world. He has said to us: “the Church is called to come out of herself and to go to- wards the peripheries, not only the geographical ones, but also the existential peripheries: those of the mystery of sin, those of pain, those of injustice, those of ignorance and omission or religious exclu- sion, those of thought, those of all misery”. And he added that “when the Church does not come out of herself to evangelize she becomes self- referential and then gets sick”. This message is directed to every Christian, who faithful to the following of Our Lord, knows when to be on his way, when to deny himself in order to be at the disposal of others precisely where he is most needed. This message applies to my life in a particular way, the life of Fr. Orlando Cardona, who having been called by my superiors to begin a new Pastoral Ministry, I find myself having to say “good bye” and, I do it, not only with sadness but also with a sincere spirit of gratitude for all the support I have received, for allowing me to perform my priestly ministry during the past three and a half years, for the love, and the unconditional friendship you have given me. I ask for your continued support and for your prayers, asking God to bless me in my new tasks. For my part, I will continue to ask for God’s blessing for you, and as a good friend of mine says repeatedly time and again: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Or- lando Cardona, quien habiendo sido llamado por mis superiores a ejercer un nuevo ministerio pastoral, me veo en la necesidad de despedirme, y lo hago, no sólo con tristeza, sino además con sincero espíritu de grati- tud por todo el apoyo recibido, por haberme permitido ejercer mi ministerio sacerdotal durante estos tres años y medio, por el cariño y la incondicional amistad que me han brindado. Les pido a ustedes su constante apoyo con la oración, para que Dios me bendiga en mis nuevas tareas, yo de mí parte seguiré pidiendo a Dios por ustedes, y como suele decir una y otra vez un excelente amigo mío: gracias, gracias, gracias.

With a great spirit of renewed joy, the Church embraces the exhortations of our Pope Francis, and recognizes in them the urgent, concrete invitation to respond to the actual challenges of our history, not only in our Church, but also, in the world. He has said to us: “the Church is called to come out of herself and to go to-wards the peripheries, not only the geographical ones, but also the existential peripheries: those of the mystery of sin, those of pain, those of injustice, those of ignorance and omission or religious exclu-sion, those of thought, those of all misery”.
And he added that “when the Church does not come out of herself to evangelize she becomes self-referential and then gets sick”.
This message is directed to every Christian, who faithful to the following of Our Lord, knows when to be on his way, when to deny himself in order to be at the disposal of others precisely where he is most needed. This message applies to my life in a particular way, the life of Fr.

The series will feature ecumenical perspectives on fostering constructive relationships between diverse cultures in faith-based communities, society at large, and nature.
