ClosingHymnI Know This Rose Will Open #396

We, the members of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco have heard and affirm what you have had to say to us this morning.

We thank you for your energy and vision and embrace you as members of the community of this church.

We appreciate your questions and challenges and will be there for you when you need us.

May you continue to grow in mind, body and spirit-thinking of this church community as your religious home.

We bless you on your life’s journey and hope that the Unitarian Universalist faith we share will sustain you, as it sustains us.

Bless you, bless you for your willingness to be here and to share yourselves with us.

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,

which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

Tryin' hard now.....It's so hard now...tryin' hard now....

Go confidently in the directionof your dreams!Live the lifeyou've imagined
