Frontiers in Liver Diseases Liver Debates November 19 and 20, 2016 (Bangalore) Integrated Liver Care Foundation and Aster DM Healthcare It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our annual meeting "Frontiers in Liver Diseases 2016," organized by the "Integrated Liver Care (ILC) Foundation" in association with the Aster DM Healthcare Group. The theme for this year's meeting is "LIVER DEBATES." Our idea is to discuss certain specific topics in field of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation where there is yet no consensus or guidelines, despite availability of literature. Managing a sick cirrhotic and keeping him alive till he successfully gets transplanted is one of the most challenging tasks and it is being increasingly recognized that these patients require a multidisciplinary approach right from the community gastroenterologist to the liver Intensivist, radiologist, hepatologist, nephrologist, infectious disease experts, nutritionists , physical therapist and the transplant surgeon. We have kept several debates where we expect our learned speakers to thrash out literature to present both sides of the story. Apart from these, we have sessions on advances in Diagnostics in Hepatology, Portal Hypertension, Post-Transplant Care, and Controversies in Hepatology. We have a keynote lecture on the evolving role of Transplantation in Chlangiocarcinoma as well as a Dinner Symposium on Future of Liver Transplantation in India. We have invited leading national faculty and thought leaders in the field of Hepatology and transplantation and hope to have a lively and spirited discussion. We hope that the event will be entertaining and educational and would have a different flavor.
