PROGRAM OvERvIEWLiver transplantation for patients with acute and chronic alcohol related liver disease is in a time of transition. The long-standing “six-month” rule is an outdated process with no scientific merit. Transplant programs around the country are looking to phase out this approach, and there has never been a more urgent time to discuss the approach to these patients openly. This program will address new approaches to transplantation in alcoholic liver disease from a multidisciplinary group of experts.

TARGET AUDIENCEInternists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, nurses, social workers, and other health care professionals involved in transplantation of alcoholic liver disease.
