Chuyao PengChuyao Peng was elected as a “Forbes China 30
Under 30”. He is the Founder/CEO of DeepMag
Tech, the first solution provider for Magnetic
Levitation/Electromagnetic Technology Applications. DeepMag is designing Maglev and
electromagnetic (EM) direct-driven solution provider, focusing on
providing:
- high-speed maglev logistics and transportation solutions
- high speed EM direct-driven stereo garage
- bespoke Maglev solutions in product display, exhibitions,
education, creative gifts products
Dr Martijn ten BhömerMartijn ten Bhömer has a Ph.D in Industrial
Design from Eindhoven University of Technology, and is dedicated in studying design and
manufacturing techniques smart textile products
and services. Dr Martijn is currently a lecturer in
the Department of Industrial Design at XJTLU,
Director of the Master’s programme of Industrial Design, and
Director of the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory of Industrial Design.
He was engaged in research work in multinational companies such
as Microsoft Research UK, Deutsche Telekom, OMsignal in Canada
and Bambi Medical in the Netherlands, and has rich experience in the industry. His work has been exhibited in museums, exhibitions
and academic conferences in many countries.

Ewout van der Schaft
Ewout van der Schaft is Head of Industrial Design at XJTLU.
He combines over 20 years of international executive business
experience as well as extensive multiple educational roles.
Du (Echo) ChenDu (Echo) Chen is a China-born, UK-developed multidisciplinary designer with over 10 years
demonstrated industry experience working in Shanghai, London & New York. She specialises
in concept development, user experience (UX),
design management, and brand activation.
Her latest appointment is as the Head of Design for a UK luxury
group, the Hut Group.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Tongji University,
China, Echo studied at Royal College of Art London for her Master’s
degree in Design Products. Product Innovation, narrative-led design,
human centred design, user experience with social and cultural
complicities - are important themes for Echo as a designer.
