• After Two Years– UC Foundation Certificate in Professional Studies:

Livestock Market Operations and Management• Associate Status + 5 years experience

• After Four Years– CertHE in Professional Studies: Livestock Market

Operations and Management• Fellow Status + 10 years experience

Tuition

• 2 x study weeks a year– January: w/c 10 January 2011– July: w/c 11 July

• Private study and online activity• Locally organised learning activity, eg market,

farm and abbatoir visits organised by local learning clusters

• Work based reports• Examinations in July x 3

LAA/IAAS Status

• UC Foundation Certificate + 5 years: Associate Status

• CertHE + 10 years: Fellowship Status• Recognition of UoC FdSc withdrawn from end

of 2011– Arrangements for Credit Transfer to HAUC– See form for details and release of information

Costs

• Course Fee: £4,000 for full CertHE• LAA and IAAS are currently offering to cover

50% for students from member companies joining course with their support

• Domestic accommodation costs:– £50 per day/night: Dinner, B&B

• Recognition of existing UoC FdSc withdrawn December 2011– Students must complete FdSc by then, or– Transfer to new HAUC programmes

• Arrangements to cover transfer of UoC credit to new programme– See form for initial information needed

• Other opportunities for recognition of prior learning
