Undergraduate Academic Choices at Western Scholarships and Financial Support Applying to Western Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission your school must be accredited by a regional or national accrediting body, or the Ministry of Education (or equivalent) in your country.

Students following a Canadian curriculum at an overseas school will be assessed based on the requirements for the applicable province in Canada. Grade 12 English is a requirement for all students following a Canadian curriculum.

To ensure you are well prepared to study at Western, students should model high school course selection on the requirements for Ontario students. These are available on our website at: www.welcome.uwo.ca/preview/admissions/ontario.html

Prerequisite courses are required for some courses. Contact the Admissions Office to ensure that you have the correct courses to apply for admission to your chosen program.

Western accepts applicants who have studied in a variety of curricula. Common international admission pathways include:

• International Baccalaureate (IB)

• Advanced Placement (AP)

• General Certificate of Secondary Education/General Certificate of Education (GCSE/GCE)

• U.S. Secondary School Curriculum

Detailed requirements for these curricula and requirements by country can be found at www.welcome.uwo.ca/preview/admissions/admissions.html.

Please note, admission is competitive and possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
