William Henry Gates III

Bill Gates grew up in Seattle, Washington attending Lakeside School.

He has always had an itch for software and computers and started to program computers when he was thirteen, little did he know this was going to bring him great success.

Gates attended Harvard University. At Harvard he worked on a program for the first microcomputer. He eventually left Harvard in his junior year and began the Microsoft Corporation with Paul Allen.

Some Interesting Facts Behind William Henry Gates III

He is a very smart man scoring a 1590 on his SAT when the highest score possible was a 1600.

He sold a program to his high school when he was 17 for 4,200 dollars.

Gates told his professors at Harvard that he would be a millionaire by the age of 30, his professors should be proud to see that their student became a billionaire at the age of 31.

Gates’s Microsoft idea has created a salary for him of 250 dollars per second.

Microsoft is the largest known software company in the entire world.

Microsoft is based on developing, manufacturing, and licensing software products.

The products include operating systems, server applications, business and consumer applications, and software development tools, as well as Internet software, technologies, and services.

Probably the most widely known Microsoft product is Microsoft Office.

Microsoft Office is used in education setting, career setting, and more.

Microsoft Office includes Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, Messenger, Excel, and Entourage.

Bill Gates once said that it is not possible to have a computer without Microsoft.

Recently, Microsoft exposed what they earned for the year of 2009.

Microsoft earned 12.9 billion.

Wall Street did not even expect them to earn this much.

Recently in 2009, Microsoft released Windows 7.

Microsoft planned to come out with Vista in 2007. Vista was said to require users to start all over. It required new and enhanced hardware.

Microsoft plans to make easier sharing in the future. This is their prime focus to boost sales. They want to create a teamwork setting for Microsoft Office.

They want to work on security as well. They plan to create a restricted rights programming for businesses using their products.

Microsoft has progressed tremendously over the years and will never stop growing.

Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company founded by a very intelligent man who was very interested in computers, named Bill Gates.

Microsoft is used everywhere in the world and is becoming needed for students and employees.

Microsoft keeps progressing with its programs and is developing more and more each day with it’s staff coming up with new ideas for a better PC.
