The Playground Buddies encourage children to be good role models and play an important part in creating a safe, friendly, happy and peaceful atmosphere for children during playtimes and lunchtime. Scarecrow’s Wedding Theatre Trip – Years 2-4
Last term Years 2, 3 and 4 were very fortunate to receive the “Go and See” grant from the Arts
Council Wales to go and watch the production of “The Scarecrow’s Wedding” by Scamp
Theatre, in Theater Brycheiniog. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful music and
interesting storytelling. We are very grateful to the Arts Council Wales for giving us the
opportunity to watch this live production at the theatre.
Our ELSA room is available for pupils to use
during lunch time if they are finding the break
difficult. It is manned by a fully trained ELSA
(Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) staff who
can help work out solutions to problems, or just
be there for a chat.
Break times Outdoors! We love playing on the field and in the
wooded area outside, even when it is
raining. This can mean that sometimes we
get a bit muddy.
If you have any
spare wellies or old
shoes, please bring
them in and leave
them in school for
pupils to change into
so that they are not
getting their school shoes dirty.
Llanfaes School Rocks, Swap Shop
The School Council launched The Revolve Project before Christmas. It is an exciting opportunity for schools to make a change in Wales. The Children’s Commissioner is asking
schools to think about how they could encourage more children to reuse their school uniforms by setting up a uniform shop in their school. Thank you very much for all the donations
received before the Christmas holidays. If you have any other items please send them into school.
With so many bugs around at this time of year, here are some guidleines for when your child should return to school after an illness.
