Employers have a duty of care under the 2005Working at Height Regulations, to assess the risksfromworking at height and to use appropriateequipment to help prevent accidents.
The Catnic LoadSafe platform has beenspecifically designed to satisfyWorking atHeight Regulations.
Following extensive research and developmentin consultationwith sitemanagers and drivers,Catnic LoadSafe platforms have been developedto provide safe secure access to trailer bedvehicles and reduce the risk of falls whenworking at height.

LoadSafe is designed to encourage a saferworking environment. Deliberately engineeredto accommodate access restrictions andloading constraints presented at constructionsites and loading yards across the country.
Originally developed by Tata Steel to improvehealth and safety on its own sites and reducethe risk of slips, trips and falls from goodsvehicle trailers.
Every year around 2000 drivers and workers areseriously injured in falls from vehicles. EachLoadSafe platform provides a temporary meansof access, and safe refuge, for banksmen andother personnel involved in the loading orunloading process. Designed primarily to ensurethe safety of those unloading from trucks on site,especially where no edge protection is present.
LoadSafe has been developed and madeavailable in a number of con�gurations thatmake it suitable for use in both �at, surfaceddelivery yards and on more uneven groundsuch as the unloading areas on manyconstruction sites.

Quick and easy tomanoeuvreManufactured from steel sections the robustLoadSafe platforms are designed to belightweight and easily positioned on site usingavailable plant equipment such as forklifts.
Safe and stable to useAll platforms are designed to be effortlesslypositioned close to the vehicle by amaximumoftwo individuals. Robust handrails and stairwaysensure a secure and stable work area forpersonnel. Formaximum stability the platformuses twowater filled ballast tanks*.
Quick vehicle turnaroundTo allow swift vehicle entry the platforms havebeen designed tomove easily away from thetrailer bed, allowing the driver to position hislorry without difficulty or restricted access.The efficient design permits greater flexibility forvehicles when loading and unloading thussaving time andmaximising the deployment ofvehicles andworkforce on site.Where platformssit on two sealed linear bearings only oneperson is required to glide it into position*.
MinimummaintenanceThe entire platform range has very fewmovingparts, wheels are locked into position, and linearbearings* secured into its open and closedposition by a spring-loaded bolt.
CCoommpplliiaanncceeThe LoadSafe platform range has been designedwithin the BS EN 1004:2004 guidelines andmanufactured in line with industry regulatingstandards P.U.W.E.R 1998 and B.S 4592 (Part 1) towithstand 5kn perm2 of downward force toensure themaximum level of safety whenloading and unloading from trailers.
