Hello from TRNSMT! As you may already know, this year, Glasgow Green will host TRNSMT Festival. This event is being organised by DF Concerts & Events. The line-up includes top global artists with Radiohead, Kasabian, and Biffy Clyro headlining the three-day festival.
DF Concerts & Events has experience in running major events for over 25 years. We understand the importance of communication with the local community and we will try our upmost to minimise the impact of the event. We have held community engagement meetings with all appropriate community councils. These meeting enhanced our understanding of local issues and helped shaped our plans for this event.
** Please note that there will be load out throughout the night on show days. We will brief crew to be respectful and keep noise to a minimum.
FESTIVAL COACH DROP OFF
Festival Coaches will be dropping off customers and parking along Ballater Street.
THE GREEN
Following our community engagement meetings with all surrounding community councils we understand and appreciate the importance of maintaining use and access to as much of “The Green” as possible for the public. For safety reasons and in line with construction regulations, we will have to restrict access to certain areas of “The Green” from the 26th June- 14th July, however, from the community meetings we have identified the following key areas that we have committed to keeping open for the entirety of the build and break: The riverside path, St Andrews Bridge and the play parks both East and West of “The Green”.
• On show days (7th,8th and 9th) the riverside path will be closed however alternative routes will be clearly signposted. It will reopen on Monday 10th July as normal.
• The St Andrews Bridge will be closed for event ticket holders, who will be directed along to Kings Bridge and into the East side of “The Green” if they come from the south side of the river. However, there will be stewards on both sides of the bridge who will be briefed appropriately to engage with and maintain access for local residents for the duration of the show.
• The play parks both east and west of “The Green” will not be restricted at all between the 26th June – 14th July, however please note that on show days (7th, 8th and 9th) these areas will be very busy with ticket holders as they are situated next to our 2 entrances.
• Areas of the grass at the West of “The Green” will be available for early morning walkers till 9am. The majority of “The Green” to the east of the Winter Gardens remains open for public access at all times.
