I am wanting to take photos both in the photography studio and in Newcastle of the music venues that they have through there.

When it comes to taking photos in the studio I will have to get in touch with the university book the studio. And when it comes to the

photos in Newcastle I will have to decide on which venues I want photos of and look at

where they are in Newcastle. I will also have to look at things like weather and decide on what

time of the day I think it is best to take my photos.

As the first edition of my magazine is going to be a ‘Newcastle edition’ I am going to focus on music venues within Newcastle that I think that my readers

would be interested in. I will go and take photos of these venues and I will

also collect things like leaflets and posters so I can inform my readers of up and coming gigs and concerts that

are coming to those venues.

Location 1: O2 Academy, NewcastleThe O2 Academy holds both music, comedy and sports events and it also doubles up as a night club.Most of the music that is featured at the O2 Academy is of a more rock and alternative genre, however they do also hold some pop music gigs.

When it comes to taking photos I will take photos of the exterior, and as I know that the venue is open all day I will have to ask permission to take photos of the interior as well. While I am here I will collect leaflets and posters on up coming events as I think my readers and target audience will be interested in seeing what is on in this particular venue as they music genres they feature cater to their tastes.

Location 1: Think Tank, NewcastleThink Tank doubles up as both a music venue and night club.

The genres of music that is mainly featured at Think Tank is more indie, alternative and rock, which will fit in perfectly within my magazine.I will have to take pictures of the outside of the venue and possibly try and get photos of the interior of the venue depending on whether it is open and I am given permission to do so.Think Tank is located in Newcastle near both The LIFE Centre and Central Station. I know that Think Tank is popular as a night club but I don’t think that a lot of people are aware that it also doubles as a music venue.

Location 1: Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle

The Metro Radio Arena is probably the most popular and well known music venue in Newcastle.The arena caters to a lot more than just music, it also holds things like conventions, spots shows and much more.

As the arena is so big and as it can hold such a vast amount of people inside it, it caters to a wide variety of different music genres, however most of the concerts and gigs that they do host are pop music.I will have to take photos of the exterior of the building as I doubt that I will be given permission to go inside the venue during the day whilst there is nothing going on. However when I do go to the arena I will collect posters and leaflets for up coming events to inform my readers on what will soon be coming to the area.
