RECEPTION

Any delivery entering the factory will be checked during the weighing.

The receiver will notify to the carriers any irregularity entailing penalties or refusal (should the irregularity be

noticed during the weighing or the unloading).

The noticed irregularities will be recorded on the delivery note.

If a delivery does not correspond to the present specifications, discounts will be applied according to the

scale appearing page 5.

In case of discount or refusal of the goods, a photography of the load will be taken and will be available for

consultation by the supplier during 1 month on the website “Portail Bois”.

In the case of obvious dissimulation and / or second occurrence, the CBB reserves the right to cancel the

contract of the supplier.

The factory of Saillat reserves the right to modify the specifications having beforehand informed the

suppliers by mail.

The schedules of reception to Saillat are posted next to the weighing machine. The factory reserves the right

to modify them having beforehand warned the suppliers by mail.

In case of damage to the equipment of the factory, or interruption of the machines by the fact of a

nonconforming delivery, a corresponding compensation can be asked from the supplier and its approval

could be removed.

Softwood : All the species authorized within the framework of the environmental specifications can be

delivered.

Hardwood : All the species authorized within the framework of the environmental specifications can be

delivered. Only lime is forbidden.

Mixed load : Species can be mixed in the same delivery, but only within the same softwood or hardwood

family. The mixture SOFTWOOD and HARDWOOD on the same truck is strictly forbidden. A load can

thus composed only of SOFTWOOD or HARDWOOD (see scale of the penalties page 5).

Species reception rules : Received species are those listed in the table below :

- Oak - Spruce

- Chestnut - Douglas Fir

- Beech - Scots Pine

- Horbeam - Maritime Pine

- Birch - Other Softwood species

- Poplar /Aspen

- Other Hardwood species

The species will be received by estimating their distribution percentage of the delivery while limiting to 4

the maximum number of species which can be received on a single truck.

Wood have to be of healthy, loyal and trade quality (exempt from any pollutant).

Calcinated wood or presenting tracks of fire on the bark are forbidden.

Rotten wood (with altered cellulose fibers) are not accepted. On the other hand, blue or darkened wood

(for example following an extended stay in the water) are accepted (Cf. photos).

Are excluded, wood containing foreign pieces : stones, diverse metals (nails, wires, barbed wires, etc.),

and plastics (marking plates, threads, tarpaulin, etc.)

Lengths :

Lumber can be shaped according to 2 categories of length:

- Categorie « 2 meters » : Length between 1.80m and 2.70m

- Catégorie « 4 meters » : Length between 2.70m and 4.00m

Logs must be delivered by piles of homogeneous length (the same category of length)

Diameters :

Logs must have a minimum diameter on bark of 7 cm.

Wood have to fit in a wrapping cylinder of 60 cm in diameter.

If in a load, a log does not fit in this wrapping cylinder for reasons of righteousness, quality of shaping or

section, the load will be refused.

Shaping quality :

Logs have to be of clear section at both extremities, branches and knots should be planed, forked wood

eliminated.

The righteousness, the complete elimination of branches and forks are the essential conditions for a

correct feeding of the cutting machine (see plan below).

Motives entailing discount or refusal of the load : When all or part of the load of a truck is not in

compliance with the present specifications, it could be discounted or refused according to the modalities

described in the table below :

(*) : The percentage of discount corresponds to the part of not corresponding wood noticed in the load.

Any partially or totally refused load or for which a discount will have been applied will be the object of a

photo you could consult for a month on the Wood Portal of IP CBB (www.portailbois.net).

All the cases of refusal of a load and 40 % discount will be the object of a Conformity Plan ( PMC).

Important

The factory reserves the right to refuse a delivery if the load presents difficulties of implementation of the

unloading equipments or causing problems of safety.

In case of total or partial refusal of the load in agreement with the present specifications, the transport will

stay chargeable to the supplier if the cause of the refusal is attributable to him/her.

The buyer reserves the right to visit working sites and storage places of the supplier to control the quality

and the cleanliness of wood, and in a more general way, the execution of the clauses of the purchase

contract of these products to facilitate the later receptions to the factory.
