Vol. 45 No. 9 December 2017

Approval of Minutes – The minutes had been sent to the membership via email and were approved by consent. Treasurer’s report: Dee Alcorn presented the fi-nancial report dated December 6, 2017. A printed copy of the report is included in the newsletter. President’s Report: Phil thanked this outing’s wagonmasters and many helpers for the beautiful and festive table and room decorations and for coordinating all of the delicious meals. Correspondence: Hope shared an email from Don Grimes. Birthdays and anniversaries: Phil read the names and dates of all members with birthdays and anni-versaries in December. Old Business: Phil announced that there are still open dates for 2018 outings (see below). Please take on a month as wagonmaster. Otherwise, we won’t be going anywhere that month. New Business: Jessie asked if people would consider mid-week outings. There was consensus that this is a viable option. There was a discussion about newsletter photos and where they are located in the document. Some people who print out the newsletter would like to avoid those pages in order to save printer ink. Jessie said she usually puts them at the end. From now on she will identify the photo pages on the page one. Pete suggested we are in a rut going to many of the same parks year after year. He is suggested

we look for new locations and new activities over the next couple of years. Hope pointed out that wagonmasters always have the option to find new venues and new activities. Betty sent around Christmas cards for those mem-bers who aren’t here and those who are honorary members. Upcoming local and state outings: 2018 1/25-28 State – Golden Village Palm RV Resort, Hemet February (open) 3/15-18 – Betabel – St. Patrick’s weekend, Brick, Rausch, Sommer 3/25-29 – SW regional rally, Indio 4/19-22 State – Casa de Fruta RV Park April (open) 5/3-7 – Gold Strike, San Andreas: Johnson, Austin, Crothers 6/7-10 – Gilroy Garlic – Leavitt, Campbell 2, Hill/Asche 7/23-28 – GNR August (open) 9/13-16 - Smithwoods – Olsen, Rosebraugh, Wood 9/29-10/3 – State – Palm Desert 10/ - TBA – Beeley/Herr, Loesser 11/8-11 KOA – Los Banos - Hayden, Silva, Sommer 12/6-9 Grand Holiday Outing – Casa de Fruta - Officers An updated listing of all scheduled LCW and State outings may be found in the newsletter and on the LCW website at www.lonecypressrv.org.
