Program
Definitions
• Intramurals - sports organized within a school, games conducted between members of the same community or school.
• Extramurals – sports with groups outside an organization (school/community/etc.) opponents are members of other organizations.
• Club Sports - an athletic alternative to intramural and intercollegiate programs. These are registered student organizations that promote and develop leadership and athletic skills through competition of a specific sport.
Intramurals To provide students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to
participate in a quality recreational sports program as a means to enhance their college/work life experience and develop a greater sense of community within the college.
Sport Clubs To provide students an opportunity to compete against
other collegiate teams at a higher level than intramurals while enhancing their collegiate experience and develop a greater sense of community within the college.
