These plants will remain during production and after the completion of the site to provide a buffer of plants that will filter the water that runs through the site from East to West into the river. PHASE 3: COMPLETION BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ORGANIC PARCELS BUILDING CONSTRUCTION Once the tributary construction, new roads and building slabs are completed, construction of the new buildings can occur. The buildings will contain studios, galleries, residences, shops, restaurants, and markets throughout the site. The new mixed-use buildings will provide spaces for a diverse set of occupants. The ground level will provide parking and open-air markets for local farmers and artists to sell their products. The first level will have many large balconies to provide access to galleries, shops, and restaurants, while also providing space to walk around and view the site from above. The upper levels will be for the more private spaces such as apartments and studios. The final phase is the development of the organic parcels, or long lots. Dispersed throughout the site, there will be playgrounds, parks, community gardens, woodlands, water filtration swales, created wetlands, and the riverwalk. These outdoor spaces will help rejuvenate the site, bringing people to the river and making the area a much more pleasant place to be.
