CATHOLIC MEN SERVATN LEADERS “A Teacher’s Perspective: God is in the Details”
Diocese of Lexington Catholic Center 1310 West Main Street, Lexington
You are invited to attend the next Catholic Men Servant Leaders pro-gram on June 2. It begins with Reconciliation at 10:30 AM followed by Mass at 11:15 AM, offered by Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv. At noon there will be lunch and a presentation by Dr. Harold L. Kleinert, Ed.D. RSVP to Kerry at [email protected] or 859-229-7861.
Dr. Kleinert, Ed.D. has spent his entire life living God’s word. He and his wife of 39 years reside in Lexington and are members of Pax Christi, where they raised one son and two daughters. After earning his under-graduate in Humanities from the University of Louisville, his masters in special education from the University of Minnesota and his Ed.D. from the University of Kentucky, his career has been his vocation; researching, teaching, and advocating for those with disabilities and learning differences. As Director Emeritus and of the Human Development Institute, University of Kentucky, and Professor Emeritus of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Kentucky, he continues to see God in the details. His professional work has been published in numerous journals including Teaching seminary students about faith inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities: The role of family mentorships. Journal of Religion, Disability, and Health, 14 (1), 6-27.” His devotion to Mary can be found in a series of published reflections on the mysteries of the Rosary (appearing as 15 separate articles) in the Marian magazine, Queen of All Hearts.

BENEDICTUS BOOKS & GIFTS TO CLOSE
Benedictus Books & Gifts, an apostolate of the Diocese of Lexington, will close its doors June 30 at the conclusion of its lease at its Southland Drive, Lexington.
Bishop John Stowe, O.F.M. Conv., made the announcement on April 18:
“Benedictus Books & Gifts has provided religious books, gifts and other goods in an attractive and welcoming environ-ment. Unfortunately, it has never been financially self-sustaining, despite the good intentions to be able to support priests’ retirement and our Catholic schools. With the many needs of the diocese, the store is not something the diocese can continue to support, and the conclusion of the shop’s lease is an opportune time to terminate operations. I and many customers are truly grateful to those who have worked hard for the Benedictus apostolate.”
