Looking at and Talking about Art:

Environmental Concerns

Page 2: Looking at and Talking about Art: Environmental Concerns.

I will look at and talk about artwork that focuses on environmental concerns. I will listen to and think about what other people have to say.

I will create my own, original artwork that addresses an environmental concern in a unique way.

The artist depicts insects she collects at nuclear test areas and accident sights, and nuclear power plants. Her illustrations reveal physical malformations caused by low-level exposure to radiation.

The artist imagines rats of the future that are based on his research into evolution and today’s

environmental hazards. These super rats with big kangaroo lets and gigantic fangs that have evolved

to survive in a world devastated by human intervention and pollution.
