REPORT ON "SWACHHTA HI SEWA CAMPAIGN"

(15th September to 02nd October, 2017)

With reference the office order memorandum No. 11-4/2017-GA II dated 14.09.2017 regarding

“SWACHHTA HI SEWA CAMPAIGN” dated 15.09.2017 to 02.10.2017, CCS NIAM

celebrated "SWACHHTA HI SEWA CAMPAIGN" highlights of the events are as follows:

Plantation by NIAM and PGDM (ABM) (25-SEPT-2017)

CCS NIAM campus is flooded with greenery including beautiful gardens and variety of flora

which creates a serene and

soothing environment for the

visitors and residents. On 25th

September, 2016, the plantation

activity was celebrated in the

evening at 5:00 pm. Director

General Dr. Irina Garg

inaugurated the event with

plantation of Sitafal (Custard

Apple) and recited the

importance of plants for a

better ecosystem.

Apart from this, in this occasion total 45 plants of different varieties medicinal and aromatic,

fruits viz. custard apple, Aonla, Neem, Kadam, Jamun, Palas, Bael, Arjuna, Kadi Patta, Parijaat,

Harsringar, Anar, Nimbu, Mango and Guava were planted by Director Dr. Hema Yadav, Deputy

Director Dr. Ramesh Mittal and Dr. S. R. Singh, Assistant Director Dr. Shuchi Mathur, Dean

PGDM-ABM Dr. Vikram Singh, Colonel A. S. Chaudhary, Dr. Mansi Mathur, Associate

Professor, Dr. S C Pant, and Mr Sathyendra, Assistant Professor, NIAM Staff and Students of

PGDM (ABM).

Inspection of Office (26-SEPT-2017):

On 26th

September, 2017 an inspection was made by Dr. Vikram Singh, Dean PGDM (ABM) in PG

Block for cleanliness in the organization. Glimpse of the event are as follows:-

Sensitization program on Swachhta (27-Oct- 2017)

CCS NIAM actively participated in “Sensitization program

on Swacchta activities” conducted by Mr. Naraniya, Parshad,

Sanganer at Gowardhan Nagar, Jaipur on 27th

September

2017.The focus of this campaign was to sensitize the people

about cleanliness, the garbage disposal habits and to assist

them to play their role in keeping the society clean. Its

primary aim was to get people involved in the development

of their communities.

The coordinator for this activity from NIAM was Dr Mansi Mathur & the other participants were Ritika,

Manisha Chauhan & Mohar Singh.

Activities Performed:

1. Attended awareness campaign near Devnarayan temple,

Gowardhan Nagar in which Mr. Narniya, Parshad of the

ward addressed the audience constituted by ward

members, members of various institutions, students of

schools and local people about the importance of

maintaining public as well as personal hygiene.

2. Along with Mr. Narniya, a visit was organized in nearby

school Vivek Children Academy to make students aware

about various issues of personal hygiene, public

sanitation conditions, lack of awareness and the general

issue of public attitude that withholds

the population in taking a proactive attitude towards the

cleanliness problem.

3. PGDM (ABM) also participated in the rally undertaken

by Parshad of the ward along with the ward members,

school students and people of nearby localities which

was facilitated by various slogans, banners, and posters.

4. The team also contributed in cleaning around the school

and properly disposing of garbage and installed dustbins

in the areas nearby.

The response from the community and school was

overwhelming. People acknowledged the need for such a

campaign and pledged their support from the start. An

alteration in the attitude of people could be seen and felt

through their participation and involvement and were

motivated to carry such activities in future and on daily basis

also. So this program has been well received by people and

had planted seeds which will bear fruit in the future.

Shram Dan at Muhana Mandi (27-Oct- 2017)

On 27th

October, 2017 Shram Dan activity was conducted at Muhana Mandi, Jaipur. The aim of this

event was to create the awareness about cleanliness among farmers and mandi staff. Its primary

objective was to get people involved in the Swachhata Abhiyan. The event was coordinated by Mr. R.S.

Saini and other participants were Pankaj, Gaurav, Sumit, Rakesh, Rupesh and Rishabh.

Shram Daan (29-Oct-2017)

As per the words of our Honorable Prime Minister of India “feeling of cleanliness being our

responsibility needs to be inculcated among all & this would go a long way towards ensuring wellness

and protecting the health of the poor”. To initiate this „Shram Daan‟ or voluntary work is a part of

“Swacchta Hi Sewa Campaign”. CCS NIAM started with the activity of „Shramdaan‟ on 29th

September, 2017. Students along with the staff members had participated in the drive. Cleaning started

from Brahmapurta (main building) at 1 P.M. Everyone collectively started picking the biodegradable

and non biodegradable wastage to encourage the participants to develop a sense of responsibility in

cleaning and protecting the environment for the betterment of society.
