The part of plot structure where we are introduced to information
about the setting, characters, initial problems, conflicts, or
themes.
Exposition
Ralph’s decision to make Jack leader of the choir is an example
of this stage of the plot.
Inciting Incident
These are the significant events between the inciting incident and
the crisis.
Rising Action
The protagonist experiences a positive or negative consequence at this stage of the plot structure.
Climax
This is the stage of plot when all of the significant problems and conflicts are resolved or we are
led to believe they will be resolved in the future.
Resolution
The first 2 characters we meet.
Ralph and Piggy
He had asthma as a child.
Piggy.
Merridew’s first name.
Jack.
The Twins.
Sam and Eric.
He finds an isolated and beautiful part of the jungle to hide and
relax.
Simon.
The name of the jungle clearing caused by the plane crash.
The Scar.
These 3 boys go for a walk and learn that they are on an island.

What indication in Chapter 1 suggests that the story takes place

snake thing.
