Dwight’s Doodles We have celebrated Christmas this month, I am thankful for the acts of kindness and encouragement shown to me and my family this month! We are blessed to serve alongside you here at FBC! We Love You All! Continue to pray for us as we adjust to home without Carl. We hope to get you an address for his Navy training center in Chicago soon!

Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year. A part of each and every Christmas should be the memories we hold precious and dear. We remember loved ones no longer with us. But more valuable than those memories is the remembering of Jesus our Savior, being born in a manger here on earth. He came to change the world forever! He came to change our lives one individual at a time. Here are the words to the last song in our musical this year:

From Bethlehem to Calvary You always look for a rhyme or a reason,

You don’t know if you believe in the season,

It’s just another holiday; Who is this Babe that we give adoration,

He is the Savior, the Lord of salvation, He is still the same today.

And if your heart condemns you, He is greater than your heart;

And if your life is broken He can mend the broken heart.

From His Father’s throne in glory, To a manger filled with hay;

From Bethlehem to Calvary, Jesus Christ is still the only way.

Where do you run when you’re trying to hide from the fear and the feelings you’re

locking inside; Must you keep it all within?

Here is a Man Who already forgave you, He has the power to conquer and save

you, if you will only let Him in. And if your heart condemns you,

He is greater than your heart; And if your life is broken

He can mend the broken heart. From His Father’s throne in glory,

To a manger filled with hay; From Bethlehem to Calvary, Jesus Christ is

still the only way.

This Saturday our focus in worship will be on the Lord’s Supper and Christ’s birth. The Irene Hines Handbell Choir will share preservice music starting at 4:45. Dr. Bill Montgomery, our Interim Pastor, will lead us in a very meaningful Christmas Eve service.

[continued in next column]

God is waiting to hear your joyful noise…

Come worship Him with open hearts! Remember service on Christmas Day will be at 9:00a.m.

I look forward to seeing you in worship this week ready to praise Him! My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You. (Ps 71:23)

Blessings, Dwight
