April 2017 Happy Spring!

April is here, the weather is getting warmer, and things are definitely

heating up in Sacramento. We’ve had a lot of success so far—I’m very

pleased that two of my bills, the Sexual Assault Victims Bill of Rights

and our legislation that makes schools test drinking water for lead

contamination, were approved with bipartisan, unanimous support.

This month we observed #EqualPayDay on April 4. Why that date?

Take a look at my @LorenaAD80 tweet of the month on page 3 to

find out.

The news that some schools in our community have problems with

lead contamination in drinking water is deeply concerning. My office

is working closely with school districts to help get the word out to

parents and make sure schools are taking the right steps to keep our

kids safe. If you have questions or concerns, please contact my district

office. Nothing is more important than keeping our kids safe.

Sincerely,

LORENA GONZALEZ FLETCHER Assemblywoman, 80th Assembly District
