The Blue Crew lost the 2016 season series 8-11 against the Giants, including a 2-8 mark at AT&T Park for their second straight season. THE PHENOM RETURNS: Prior to today’s game, the Dodgers will recall left-handed pitcher Julio Urías from Triple- A Oklahoma City and will make his 2017 debut today with a start against the Giants. He last pitched for Triple-A OKC on April 21 against Nashville (Athletics), allowing just two hits in 5.2 scoreless innings and striking out six against three walks on 93 pitches. In three starts with the Oklahoma City Dodgers this season, he posted a 1.93 ERA (3 ER/14.0 IP), while holding batters to a .170 average (8-for-47) and striking out 15 in 14.0 innings. In his Major League debut last season on May 26, 2016, Urías became the youngest Dodger starting pitcher at 19 years, 228 days, since Dick Calmus, who took the mound at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 23, 1963 at 19 years, 228 days. In two career games (one start) against the Giants, he has gone 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA (3 ER/7.1 IP) and has held hitters to a .241 average (7-for-29). Urías struck out eight batters against just one walk in 7.1 innings. RED (HOT) TURNER: Dodger third baseman Justin Turner extended his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games in last night’s contest, after tying a season high with three hits (3-for-5). Turner has gone 18-for-47 (.383) with five runs, four doubles, four RBI and four hit by pitches, along with a .463 OBP and a .468 SLG during the run which started on April 13. Turner currently leads the National League in doubles (9, 2 nd MLB), while ranking in the NL’s top 10 in batting average (.368, 6 th ), on-base percentage (.435, 7 th ), multi-hit games (9, T-5 th ) and hit by pitches (5, T-2 nd ) in 20 games to start the season. LOVIN’ SF: Yasiel Puig, who finished last night’s contest going 2-for-3 with a walk, has hit well at AT&T Park throughout his career. In 28 career games in San Francisco, Puig is slashing .315 (34-for-108)/.388/.454 with 14 runs, four doubles, four triples, a home run and five RBI.
