Lost in InteriorsPhotographic positions to political imprisonment

This is the 25th year of rememberance to the fall of the Berlin Wall on the 9th of November 1989.

For many citizens of the DDR the peaceful revolution brought the empowerment of freedom to tra-

vel. Prior to this people were jailed because they wanted to travel, wanted to leave or because the

spoke out against the government and mostly they would land in the secret central remand prison

Hohenschönhausen. There they were subjected to arbitrary and psychological torture.

The exhibition shows 6 photographic positions that examine the theme of political imprisonment

that were created in the complex of the central Stasi prison.

The exhibition is a part of the official celebration, marking the fall of the Berlin Wall‘s 25th anniversary.
