Lou Gehrig BiographyLou Gehrig was a famous baseball player. He played for the New York Yankees for 17 years, until he was diagnosed with ALS. When he found out he had ALS he knew he had to resign. Unfortunately, Lou Gehrig died in 1941 and ALS is now called Lou Gehrigs Disease.

My Friend Lou Gehrig As I walked into the ballpark with my friend Lou Gehrig, we could smell the hot-dogs and nachos all through the stadium. He was telling me how nervous he was for the big game. I was worried about him because he never was like this. I asked him why he was so nervous. He told me that he was in so much pain that he could barely swing a bat and get out of bed. I told him that everything was going to be fine, and he was going to do fine. I walked on to the field with him and warmed up with him to tried to get his mind off of it. Ii walked off the field to go get a soda. As I walked back to the dug-out, I noticed by the look on his face that he couldnt make it through the game. I told him that he should miss this game and I would take him to the doctor, But he refused he said that he played 162 consecutive baseball games in a row and wouldnt miss this one. Took his word and let him play the game. Which he barely made through. That following week, I took him to the doctor along with one of his team-mates . That day the doctor diagnosed with ALS.
