This is a photo of a one of the main characters being flung at the camera in paranormal activity 2, parts like this are influential to our teaser trailer because they create a source of non-realism, which makes supernatural horrors what they are.

This is just a normal shot of nothing but the camera is on a slanted, canted angle which creates a sense of surrealism and disruption. And that is also a massive contributor to making a supernatural horror what they are. Since nothing is happening it leaves the audience in suspense, and on the edge of there seat as they are waiting for something to happen, It uses the element of surprise.

Page 3: louis percival part 3 -

This is also just a normal shot on a canted angle, but it’s the way the teaser trailer has inserted some writing onto the screen what involves the audience and also gives them some information aswell. We had this idea from the beginning and due to us seeing it on the paranormal activity 2 trailer. We thought it would be a good idea to include some on screen writing on ours. Most other teaser trailers use this idea aswell,. So it is conforming to normal conventions.

This is a split second shot what goes from the left screen to the right screen. And as you can see there is a slight change, but this change comes as a surprise because your waiting for something to happen and then all of a sudden it happens. This is my favourite clip from the paranormal activity trailer. And we have based a few clips in our trailer around this clip. It is quite a common and impressive feature to have in a supernatural thriller.

this is just a normal shot of a character, and every film needs one of these to make it seem real and we have and Due to it making the more serious scenes more serious. We have many shots like this in or film because it creates a sense of realism. But also it creates more hype for the horror scenes.

This is again just a normal shot of the main characters asking a random person questions about the Blair witch. Which again is building up hype for the first enigma to occur in the film. And as you can

see, it is quite a peculiar looking lady so this also immediately starts to make you think that there is

something isn’t right.

This is a shot of a a women going into the darkness filmed through a hand held camera, the hand held camera is a great feature and idea as it adds a sense of realism, and gets you even more involved in the film. It is a typical convention. But in our trailer we didn’t get the opportunity to use this feature as there wasn’t a adequate scene to use it.

Page 8: louis percival part 3 -

This is a actually fear enigma in the film itself, what is created to add the fear factor to the characters. Every form of horror film needs this in there film some films do it in different ways, for example this film is using physical structures to do so. This is one of the main conventions of a horror film, and we have included this feature in our horror in the form of a person changing, and trying to show some supernatural effects.

Part of our film that conform to the

conventions shown in the previous

These are just a normal clips from our trailer, at the top we have to screen shots of the couple just normally enjoying life together, which as you now know, you need shots like these to make the surreal stuff even more surreal. Also we have the writing on the screen informing the audience on some facts inside the film getting them involved and thinking what is also very common in the supernatural horror teaser trailers industry.

Here are a few screen shots out of our trailer what conform the usual characteristics of a supernatural teaser trailer. We have the white noise what is a personal favourite of mine, it creates suspense, shock, and element of surprise, and the noise and screen itself let alone scares people. Also in the middle we have the split screen to show one character has both a good and bad side, which is the case in most supernatural horrors these days. And then finally on the right we have the evil side of the main character shifting up and down the corridor uncontrollably, you cant see this due to it being a split screen. But we did that by editing on the mac’s.
