    Greetings,

Your agency is one of the few that has beenselected to come up with a solution to this nerve-

wrecking problem that my country is facing.

Plantasia is suffering. Trees in Plantasia are notgrowing, causing us to face a shortage in foodand trees. Sources tell us that it could be due tothe way the seeds are being dispersed.

Time is running short and I hope that you canhelp us solve this problem. You may want tospeak to my city officials to find out more aboutthe various methods of dispersal.

    Wind Dispersal Expert

    Windy Wayne

Whoa! What a windy day to meet. Hello myyoung agent! Glad you took up the challenge tohelp Plantasia.

Well, fruits and seeds which are dispersed bywind are normally dry, light, small and possesseswing-like structures or parachute-like structures.

Maybe the reason why Plantasias trees are notgrowing is because the trees are located in aplace where there is no wind, causing the fruitsor seeds to be unable to be dispersed.

    places.

Do you know that fruits and seeds which aredispersed by water have a waterproof outer layeror fibrous husks to help stay afloat in water?

Click on the button on the side bar to go to theInternet and the button to proceed on to thenext page.

    Splitting Dispersal ExpertSplitti Sam

Ahhh... Nothing like a good split or explosion tocheer me up. Oh! You startled me. Plantasia ishaving a plant problem? If I were the mayor, Iwould plant the trees that uses splitting as a

form of dispersal in wide open spaces.

Fruits and seeds which are dispersed by thismethod have their fruit walls split open with asudden force when they are ripe.

Let me show you a show clip. Click on thebutton to see. Want some examples? Sure! Clickon the button to see the examples that I haveprepared for you.

    Animal Dispersal ExpertAnna Animalie

Animals are such fantastic creatures. Beautifuland unique in every way. We must find ways topreserve our endangered animals. Oh! Excuseme, Plantasia is having some problems with their

trees I told the mayor that animals areimportant and he would not listen.

Fruits and seeds that are dispersed by animalsare juicy, fragrant, sweet or brightly coloured. The seeds are generally hard and indigestible. Some even comes with hooks or stiff hair.

A picture paints a thousand words. Click thisbutton to see. Else I have some examples onthe next page.
