Kashmir not only heaven on earth but crown of India: Om Birla Agencies, Kabul The Taliban has surrounded Pan- jshir, the only remaining province re- sisting its rule, a senior leader said Wednesday, as he called on the rebels to negotiate a peaceful settle- ment with them, reported Reuters. Panjshir has been the only province to resist the Taliban since it took over Kabul on August 15, al- though there has also been fighting in neighbouring Baghlan province between Taliban and local militia forces. An AFP report states, meanwhile, with Kabul airport remaining inop- erable, the Afghans fearful of Taliban reprisals are trying to escape through the country’s land borders. The re- port quotes a source as saying that a Qatari aircraft carrying a technical team has landed in Kabul to discuss resumption of airport operations. Several thousand members of lo- cal militias and remnants of army and special forces units have been holding out against the Taliban un- der the leadership of Ahmad Mas- soud, son of a former Mujahideen commander. “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is home for all Afghans,” he said. The main anti-Taliban opposition group on Tuesday said that the Tal- iban forces had lost eight in a clash with militia fighters in the Panjshir valley north of Afghan capital Kabul on Monday night. Led by self-styled resistance leader, Amrullah Saleh, the resis- tance group in Panjshir province too is fiercely fighting back forcing the Sunni Pashtun Taliban group to pull back. Recently, state in-charge P Muralidhar Rao and Shiv Prakash called a big meeting of BJP in Bhopal. It is clear from the decisions taken in this meet- ing that the agenda of the Sangh will be implemented in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made no effort to cross the Sangh’s line in his fourth innings. He has also changed the image of himself as a liberal Hindutva leader. Al- though the Chief Minister has indicated that appointments will be made in the corporation board only after the by-elec- tions, but whenever they hap- pen, he will give importance to the opinion of the Sangh. For this reason, there is talk of tak- ing three divisional organization secretaries of BJP Jitendra Lito- ria, Shailendra Barua and Ashutosh Tiwari in the corpora- tions boards. According to sources, in cir- cles like Text Book Corporation, Labor Commission, Gau Sewa Aayog and Staff Commission, the workers associated with Sangh Parivar organizations can be given importance. The Sangh has also asked the BJP for the formation of Deendayal Antyo- daya Samitis. Preparation for this is also going on. Apart from this, the Sangh has said that while doing micromanagement, BJP should appoint workers till the Ardh Panna Pramukh and form a team till the polling station. The Sangh wants that full-time workers should be appointed as organization assistants for all the assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh. It is also the intention of the Sangh that the BJP should orga- nize training camps and train the workers so that the party can stand firmly in terms of ideolo- gy.
