LPGA PROS TUNE UP FOR FINAL MAJOR

P ING is well-represented at the year’s final major as 14 pros will tee it up at the Evian

Championship in France, beginning Thursday.

Canadian Brooke Henderson, who recently won her seventh LPGA title at her nation's championship, is PING’s highest-ranked woman at ninth in the world. She has a major victory on her resumé and has been a

consistent force on tour this season; she is second on the money list.

Also in the field are Swede Pernilla Lindberg, who captured her first major at the ANA Inspiration in April, and In Gee Chun of South Korea. The 2016 Evian is one of Chun’s two major crowns.

Tony Finau

Tony Finau had a Monday to remember as he was named a captain’s pick for his first U.S.

Ryder Cup team. The news came hours after Finau

put himself in a winner-takes-all position in the FedExCup race ahead of the season finale in two weeks.

After his 11th top 10, at the BMW Championship, Finau jumped to third in FedExCup points. Anyone in the top 5 who wins the Tour Championship in Atlanta automatically wins the overall FedExCup and the $10 million prize.

Finau is the only player on tour with a top 10 in each of the first three FedExCup Playoffs events.

At the Ryder Cup, Finau and Bubba Watson will play for the U.S., Tyrrell Hatton for Europe.

FINAU RYDER-CUP READY

Bubba busted 21 drives of 350+ yards with his G400 LST driver, #1 in the field.

“I am so excited to be on the Ryder Cup team,” Tony Finau said. “I cannot wait to get to Paris. Go USA!”
