Dear City of Praise Family,

We are called to help each other. Saints, you were put on this earth not to serve yourself but to serve others. Yes, God wants you to live a full, happy and anointed life, and if you trust Him, He will take care of your every need. But He blesses you so that you can be a blessing to others. You should be living a life where people are better because of your very existence. Real love is an action, and it produces kindness, selflessness, and sacrifice. The greatest act of love is to give of yourself—your time, your energy—serving others with no thought of receiving anything in return. Even a hug, a smile, a kind word can save a life. People may or may not remember what you said to them, but they will always remember how you made them feel. Whatever purpose, gift or talent God has designed for you was given to you not to promote yourself but to operate in the service of others. Why? So that through you they can see His love, His grace, His mercy, and be drawn to Him. “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.” (John 15:16 NIV)

Job was a prosperous and faithful man of God. He was rich with family, land, possessions and many servants. Suddenly Satan came before God and accused Job

of being faithful only because all was going well in his life. To prove Satan wrong, God allowed him to attack Job, and so the testing of Job’s faith began. He lost his children, his possessions, and eventually his health. His wife told him to curse God and die. His friends tried to convince him that he must have committed some great sin and that his suffering was all his fault. But Job maintained his innocence and through it all continued to trust in God. God rebuked his friends for their folly, but was pleased with Job’s faithfulness. “After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before…The Lord blessed the latter part of his life more than the first.” (Job 42 NIV)

Whatever we go through, it is God’s supernatural objective to see us through it and bring us out with double. It is a leaping season, and He is using it to push us faster to the next level. Therefore, when we go through we cannot be fearful or angry, but know that it is all a setup. You are a child of God and you were born to win! If you are trusting and obedient you cannot lose. Your faith has to be stronger than the report. It is all about you believing and not being intimidated by what you see, so look beyond what is before you in the natural and see the supernatural. You have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost behind you. You have grace, mercy and 72,000 angels backing you up. You come from a bloodline of winners, and God is using this situation to lead you to a level of greatness.

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” (Zechariah 9:12) City of Praise Family, this is

the season for all of us to come out together and receive a double portion. All that the canker worm has stolen will be returned plus more. COPFM is taking the Jericho legacy to such new heights and I promise you we will return to the land. But that will be only the beginning...

Joel 2:24-29

“The threshing floors shall be full of grain; the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

Deuteronomy 28:7-10

“The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord…”

Starting this fall, get ready for an exciting, fun and informative class on Christian Marriage. How many of you know that a good, healthy, Godly relationship does not just happen? Somewhere between “I Do” and “Till death do us

part” real life occurs. Things do not go the way you thought they should…. “Why won’t he talk to me?” “Where have you been?” “But you said….” And the list goes on and on.

This does not just happen to those who are married. It also happens to those who are preparing to get married. Yes, I know, he is tall dark and handsome. He drives a very nice car and lives in a great part of town. But what about his integrity? What is his vision? Yes, she is absolutely gorgeous. Everything is right where it should be. She must be a model. Why do you see her with someone different every week? Studies show that couples who learn proven relationship skills and increase their understanding of each other before marriage have happier, stronger marriages that last.

In both cases, there is a question that supersedes all that other good stuff that you see. Before anyone can have a good, healthy, productive relationship with you, they must have an already established relationship with God. Truly successful marriages are triangular -- you, me and The Lord Jesus Christ.

During these classes you will learn the tools necessary for a sustained, God centered marriage and how to build a quality pre-marital relationship based on the Word of God. Did you know that your relationship is like a garden? And like a garden, it needs certain elements to grow. It is important to realize that

each person has the ability to add the ingredients necessary to cause the marriage to flourish.
