Unprecedented Clarity and Mobility for Emergency Warning & Mass Notification Public violence, bomb threats, natural disasters and other severe events highlight the urgent need for more effective community, base, and campus emergency warning mass notification systems. The rise in incidents of mass violence adds to the significant challenges of government and law enforcement to maintain order and keep the peace.

Emergency warning mass notification systems currently in use have critical gaps in coverage, particularly the absence of highly intelligible loud-speakers capable of broadcasting potentially lifesaving voice messages and instructions over large areas during an emergency event.

SIRENS AREN’T ENOUGH Unlike the severely limited voice capability of legacy emergency warning mass notification outdoor siren systems, the LRAD 360XS brings LRAD’s unsurpassed vocal clarity, performance and reliability to emergency warning mass notification. The LRAD 360XS clearly broadcasts real-time information, multilanguage instructions and warnings 360 degrees. Each 360XS produces a circular coverage pattern around the system with up to a 1200 meter radius, or 4.52 square km.

LRAD 360XS systems can be installed on fixed structures such as outdoor mounting poles or rooftops. The LRAD 360XS is also available in a mobile trailer configuration for quick deployment in any vehicle accessible incident area.

The LRAD 360XS system supplants siren loudspeaker installations and supplements reverse 911 calls and other emergency warning mass notification measures to ensure the local populace hears and understands the nature of the warning and what to do before, during and after potentially catastrophic situations. The LRAD 360XS enables authorities to communicate real time, lifesaving information and warnings before, during and after incidents such as tornadoes, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, tsunamis, flooding, wild-fires, active shooters, bomb threats, SWAT operations, area or building lockdowns, CBRN incidents and other natural and man made disasters.

networks. Yokohama, Japan upgraded their tsunami warning

mass notification system with forty LRAD 360X systems. More

installations are planned in Japan and other Asian nations. The U.S.

Army recently integrated the LRAD 360X with their base mass

notification system at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas. Due to the recent

increase in on-campus incidents, universities and businesses are

evaluating the LRAD 360X to help warn and protect students, staff

Mobile Emergency Warning & Mass Notifica-tion for Large Outdoor Events Another critical gap in emergency warning mass notification systems is mobil-ity. With the recent escalation in acts of public violence, law enforcement and security personnel are increasingly challenged to keep the peace at summer festivals, fairs, parades, holiday celebrations, stadium tailgating, marathons and other large outdoor events.
