Question:

The NRC staff has reviewed the information provided in draft letter L-MT-14-075. Theinformation in L-MT-14-075 will provide NSPM's (the licensee) response to previously issueddraft requests for additional information MNGP EPU-EMCB-RSD-RAI-120. The staff notes thatin the data collected at MNGP in 2014, some of the main steam line (MSL) strain gage (SG)channels were not functioning; however, all of the MSL SG channels were active in datacollected in 2011. The NRC staff also notes that there were some differences in MSL PowerSpectral Plots (PSDs) between the 2011 and 2014 data and, therefore, requests that thelicensee develop [[

]] The NRC staff request the licensee provide thefollowing additional information outlined below.

Please revise the [[ ]] as follows, and provide the followinginformation:

a) Revise the 2011 MSL PSD plots using [[I].

b) Perform the stress analysis using the [[revised MSL time histories]], and provide the results.

c) Compare the [[]].

d) Provide a comparison between the revised B/Us and the original B/Us.

e) Provide comparisons between the 2011 and 2014 PSDs of the [[]] (similar to those shown in Figures 9 to 16 of draft letter L-

MT-14-075. The PSDs used in these comparisons should be derived from the [[

Clarification Questions

On September 3, 2014, a teleconference was held between the NRC staff and NSPM to discussthe information being provided in draft letter L-MT-14-075. The teleconference offered thelicensee an additional opportunity to request any additional clarifications from the NRC staff.Additionally, the teleconference allowed the NRC staff an opportunity to request additionalclarification questions to assist completing its review of the licensee's response to MNGP EPU-EMCB-RSD-RAI-120. The clarification questions are provided below:
