Lubbock County is located in the state of Texas with the county seat and largest city being

Lubbock. The county was created in 1876 and officially organized in 1891. It is named for

Thomas Saltus Lubbock, a Confederate colonel and Texas Ranger. Lubbock County is part

of the Lubbock Metropolitan Statistical Area along with Crosby and Lynn Counties.

There is plenty to see and do here in the Lubbock County Area. Find some family fun
