IntroductionThis Program designed for Standardization the Processes of Land Cover

    and Land Use Mapping.

The Main Projects of Land cover and Land use Mapping are:

    - Surveying Natural and Agricultural Resources in Syria UsingRemote Sensing and Geographic Information System (SNARS) in

Cooperation between General Organization of Remote Sensing

(GORS) and Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.

    - Land Use and Land Cover Mapping in Egypt and Syria UsingRemote Sensing and Geographic Information System (LULCES) in

Cooperation between General Organization of Remote Sensing

(GORS-SYRIA) and National Authority for Remote Sensing and

    Space sciences (NARSS-EGYPT).

The Main Goals of this Programme are:

    - Standardization of Land use and Land cover systems.- Standardization of Land use and Land cover terminology and

    Databases.

    - Standardization of Land use and Land cover Legends.

    - Standardization of Land use and Land cover systems in field

    validation.
