California California NeedsNeeds Engineers Engineers Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed

an educational initiative that aims to boost byboost by almost 50%50% the number of California-trained engineers during the next decade...

The goal of the Engineer Initiative is to bring 20,000 to 24,000 new engineers20,000 to 24,000 new engineers into the state's workforce.
