Preparation

2

Carefully unpack unit from its packaging. Properly inspect for defects before installing. Wear clean work gloves to prevent dirt and oil from being transferred to the luminaire.

LOP Series luminaires come in two versions: continuous units (LOPC Series) and independent units (LOPI Series). For mounting continuous units, a Starter Kit is required for each power drop. A continuous electrical run will consist of a number of continuous units up to a maximum current of 5A on a breaker. Additional continuous runs may be appended mechanically to the same row using additional power feeds. When installing luminaires, use clean gloves in order to avoid fouling the optical parts.

Swing the fixture up so that it is linear with the existing fixture. Make sure fixtures are level.

Make electrical connections.

Suspend the other end of the fixture with the applicable Suspension Kit.For Canadian installation, every fixture should be held by 2 suspen-sion cables.

Reinstall knockout plates Install end caps provided in Power Feed Kit at both ends of the run. Make sure both clips are properly engaged.

Locate the 4 screws noted in the illustration and rotate them clockwise to draw the fixtures together. Keeptightening until a proper seal is made.Do not over-torque.

Assemble cross cables: Remove screw from cross cable gripper and insert toggle cable into slot. Replace screw and tighten.

Insert both ends of the toggle cable into the luminaire mounting holes and adjust so that the toggles are engaged and will not come out of the holes when loaded.

To adjust height and to level a fixture, press the tip of the gripper and pull the suspension cable to the desired height. Clip the cable with cable cutters to finish the appearance.

NOTE: Gripper cannot be depressed while there is weight on mechanisms.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Solution

Luminaire will not turn on • Check that the color of the supply side wires match the color of the wires they are connected to.

• Check that the LED driver connector is fully engaged to the LED light engine connector.

Luminaire on through wiring will not turn on

• Check that the through wiring connector form the previous fixture in the linear row is fully engaged to the malfunctioning luminaire.

Luminaires to luminaire mating in continuous run is loose

• Ensure that all 4 vertical screws are properly tightened (see page 6, step 13).

Suspension method won’t engage with luminaire

• Check that the suspension method is one of the approved types in the installation instruction.

End cap is loose • Ensure clip engagement (see page 6, step 16).
