REAL STONECrafted by nature 300 million years ago, all Lundhs worktops share the rock solid qualities that makes them the perfect choice for your modern working surface. Still, no two worktops are identical. The complex blend of beautiful minerals differ from one slab of rock to another, creating subtle distinctions that makes each and every Lundhs surface unique.

QUALITYFrom Lundhs quarries only the highest quality blocks are sent to factories for work surface processing. Our comprehensive quality control makes 100% certain that the Lundhs stone you choose for your kitchen work surface is of impeccable quality.

Picking the perfect stone takes a well trained eye and specialised knowledge. Walter Bålsrød, Quality Inspector at Lundhs, has 34 years of quarrying experience. He identifies the smallest flaws when inspecting the blocks, using both skill and the intuitiveness that comes from years of experience.


Blocks of stone are harvested from the quarry and displayed for inspection. They are hosed down and turned carefully to examine and uncover possible discolorations and cracks. Blocks that have made it through the preliminary sorting are cleaned again to remove dust, then scrutinised from every angle.


PRODUCTS


POLISHEDA high gloss polished surface is the most popular finish for Lundhs materials. This surface finish reflects the light beautifully, mirroring the surroundings and making the blue crystals sparkle. A high gloss polished surface is very easy to clean and requires a minimum of maintenance.

SILKA silk polished surface has an elegant matte and lightly structured finish. This provides a more soft and subtle look than a high gloss finish. Beneath the texture, crystals still catch the light and sparkle gently. A silk surface is easy to clean and requires a minimum of maintenance.
