LVDC AUGUST 2016 NEWSLETTER
Summer consists of Family vaca-
tions, City/County/Mid-State Fairs,
and longer days of daylight. These
events affect our routine amount of
exercise and eating habits. My July
two week summer vacation in the
Midwest (IN, IA, & WI) eliminated
my weekly runs. I did get daily
trampoline bouncing, backyard
swimming pool games, and hide &
seek chases with my 4 grandkids.
Also, a diet of Cocoa Puffs cereal,
Cheese Puffs chips, and doughnuts
was served.
So this month I’m looking forward
to getting back to my normal rou-
tine. I’ll be back out on the La Puri-
sima Mission trails on Saturday
mornings starting around 8 AM in
front of the Visitors’ Center. After
the run a visit to the doughnut shop
would be appropriate!
Happy Trails!
