Introduction This manual accompanies the Herbalife WLC website that you, as a Distributor, have access to in 

order to register and manage one or more of your own WLC Challenges. It explains how to register 

as a Coach, how to set up your Coach Profile and Challenges, and how to manage your Challenges 

and any Participants they attract.

Site overview The WLC website is there not just for you, as a Distributor or Coach, but it also fulfils a role in 

allowing consumers to find out more about nutrition and the WLC phenomenon ‐ and to join their 

local Challenge.  

The site covers the following: 

Consumers 

A ‘Home’ page and nutrition section that tells consumers 

more about nutrition, weight management and the WLC 

concept 

A ‘Find Nearest’ functionality allowing them to find local 

Challenges (’Join the Challenge’ – see image on the right) 

A registration page so they can join a local Challenge (this is 

when a Consumer becomes a Participant 

A login page to view their profile and details about their 

Challenge and Coach (‘Participant Login’)

Distributors 

A registration form allows Distributors to apply to Herbalife to become a Coach and be able to 

set up their own Challenges which will then be included in the ‘Find Nearest’ feature on the site 

A login page (Coach Login) for Coaches to log into pages that allow them to manage their 

Challenges and Participants – within which you will find the following sections: 

Manage Challenges (add, edit, delete empty challenges) 

Manage Participants (accept registrations, enter Challenge results) 

Download resources and marketing materials 

Manage your Profile (info about yourself, address details, your profile photo) 

Contact form 

A generic contact form is included in the site to allow consumers and distributors to contact 

Herbalife direct with any queries or comments. 

Key Processes 

Registering as a Distributor (to become a Coach) 

1. Follow the ‘Register’ link, below the Coach Login on the home page, or select Coach Login 

from the menu at the top and select the Sign Up button on the login page itself: 

 

2. Complete the registration form 

3. You will receive an email to confirm receipt of your application 

4. You will receive a further email once your application has been accepted: if it is, you are now 

a Coach and ready to set up your first Challenge! 

 Logging in as a Coach  

1. Follow the Coach Login box on the home page 

2. Provide the username (your email) and password that you selected when you registered 

3. If you have forgotten the password, simply use the ‘Forgotten password’ link 

4. You will now arrive on the main menu page within your login section, offering the following 

choices:  Challenges, Participants, Resources , Profile, Log out 

5. The same options are offered on each subsequent page, within a menu bar at the top right 

of each page 

Note: if you are having trouble logging in please double check that you are not accidentally trying to 

log in on the Participant login page.

Challenges 

 

When you first arrive on this page, you will notice it is empty – you have not yet 

created any Challenges. To do so, select the ‘Add a new Challenge’ button. To 

create a challenge, simply fill out the form and submit it. You will notice that, when 

picking a start date, the end date will automatically be 12 weeks later, which is the 

official length of a WLC challenge. Keep your Challenge description short and highlight any particular 

points of interest that might be relevant to a consumer looking to join as it will be displayed in the 

‘Find Nearest’ search results.  

At the end of your Challenge, you will receive an email inviting you to log back in and enter your 

challenge results, such as total number of participants, total weight lost, volume points sold etc: 

 

When recording new Distributors who have been recruited through your WLC, you should also enter 

their Distributor ID within their Participant profile, accessible through the Participants page (see next 

page). 

Note: Please note that anything you do here has a real and immediate effect on the WLC website: 

i.e. when you create a Challenge it will be included in the ‘Find Nearest’ search on the home page 

instantly.

Participants 

 

Only once you have created one or more Challenges, and only once consumers 

have registered and been accepted by you into your Challenge(s), will you begin 

to see this page fill up with names of Participants. 

Note:  Participants who use the ‘Find Nearest’ functionality on the WLC website and locate a 

Challenge that you own, will be able to find out more information about the Challenge and about 

you, the Coach before choosing to register with your Challenge. When they do, you will receive an 

email confirmation, asking you to log into your pages and approve the Participant. 

Once Participants begin to appear in your Participants page, you will also see their status. If they are 

not yet approved you can do so here. To edit any participant, or to add their distributor ID if they 

have joined the business, click on the ‘Edit’ icon on the right hand side of each Participant. 

Resources 

 

The Resources page is where you will find materials such as forms, documents, 

instructions, images, banners and other materials to support your WLC activities. 

Items will be added over time. 

 

Profile 

 

Your Profile page is essentially where you maintain information about yourself. 

Into the ‘About You’ box, simply enter up to 500 characters to describe yourself 

and your WLC activities. Consumers local to you will be able to read this when 

they find your Challenge on the WLC website. 

It is also recommended you upload a photo of yourself or one you associate with your Challenge 

(such as a local Landmark), which again, consumers will view when looking for a local Challenge. You 

can scale and crop your photo once you have uploaded it. 

Your Profile also includes your personal marketing link which you can use in your online and offline 

marketing to show people an overview of your Challenges. 

Registering as a Consumer (to become a Participant) 

When a Consumer wants to participate in a Challenge, they will first need to use the ‘Find Nearest’ 

functionality on the website to locate Challenges that are held near to them. They may find one or 

more challenges to choose from and they will most likely decide based on the location and the 

quality of the information provided about the Challenge and the Coach (see above for your ‘About 

You’ text, your photo and Challenge Description). 

When the consumer selects a Challenge they want to register for, they are required to complete a 

simple form. If this happens to be an entry for one of your Challenges, you will be notified of their 

application. The consumer’s experience of the process is that, after completing the form, they will

see an on‐screen confirmation of receipt of their registration, as well as an email to the same effect. 

They will receive a further email once you, or whichever Coach whose Challenge they may have 

applied for, approve their application and accept them into their Challenge. 

Logging in as a Participant 

Participants can log in using the ‘Participant Login’ box on the home page or using the ‘Participant 

Login’ menu option: 

 

Either way allows them to log into their own WLC page using their email address as their username 

and their preferred password, as per what they submitted when they registered. If they have 

forgotten their password, a ‘Forgotten password’ link is provided. 

Note: if Participants are having trouble logging in please double check that they are not accidentally 

trying to log in on the Coach login page. 

Participant Page 

The Participant page is relatively straightforward. It consists of three sections covering, firstly, any 

nutritional advice relevant to their progress within your Challenge: each week, a new PDF document 

will be displayed here, containing relevant nutritional information. Secondly, another panel displays 

all relevant information for the Challenge that they have signed up to, including info about the 

Challenge itself and contact details for you, their Coach. Lastly, a third panel allows the Participant to 

view and edit their own contact details, which you, their Coach, can view from within your own login 

pages (under ‘Participants’). Finally, two buttons at the top of the page allow the Participant to print 

their page or log out.
