Meade StarNavigator™ Telescopes

Entry level, Fully-computerized GO TO Telescopes These easy to operate and fully computer-guided GO TO telescopes feature the Meade DS lightweight, portable and reliable single arm robotic mount and Meade AudioStar/Autostar Computer Handset.

DS Mount

The solidly built metal construction mount features advanced electronics to make alignment easy, including an internal clock, while the full size and adjustable height aluminium tripod allows comfortable viewing from either a seated or standing position. The mount is conveniently powered from the included internal battery pack which holds eight (user supplied) "AA" batteries. The optics of this scope combined with the enhanced electronics means that this may be all the telescope the casual observer might ever need or require.

AudioStar/Autostar Handset

This technology knows the night sky right out of the box. German EQ Mounted Telescopes Meade’s new LX70 Series offers high-quality German equatorially mounted telescopes with slow-motion controls and heavy-duty steel tripods. Can be used as a stand-alone mount or maximize viewing potential with any of the following quality optical tube options: 5” Achromat, 6” & 8” Newtonian Reflectors, or a 6” Maksutov-Cassegrain.

Coronado® PST - Personal Solar Telescope

The World's Most Popular Solar Telescope The Personal Solar Telescope (PST) is a Coronado innovation. It is the world's most popular telescope to observe the Sun. This 40mm diameter highly portable dedicated solar telescope features completely internal non-removable and student safe solar filtering optics with a 1.0 angstrom hydrogen-alpha (Hα) bandpass for great surface detail. The PST will show you the dynamic, ever changing prominences at the edge of the Sun as well as filaments and other surface details in amazing detail, all in the brilliant and distinctive red colour hydrogen-alpha.

Study of the solar disk is now within the reach of the amateur astronomer. The PST represents the same technology and quality that goes into a SolarMax series telescope available to the new solar astronomer at the cost of some single premium eyepieces.

Solar Observation at its Finest The revolutionary RichView™ tuning method, built into every new Coronado SolarMax II brings solar viewing to a new level. Coronado Eyepieces

Coronado CEMAX specialty eyepieces and barlow for use with Coronado H-alpha Solar Telescopes and filters. These contrast enhanced eyepieces are specifically designed for use at H-alpha (Ha) wavelengths and use optimized coatings to enhance contrast and minimize glare while affording excellent contrast. Available separately or as a set consisting of 12mm, 18mm and 25mm focal length eyepieces, matching 2X Barlow lens and hard case. The eyepieces all feature a generous 20mm eye relief, 52° field of view, and rubber eye guard for comfort.

CAUTION: These eyepieces are NOT filters in any way, and for Solar observing must be used in

conjunction with an appropriate Coronado Ha Solar Telescope or telescope with a Coronado Solar filter set appropriately and safely mounted.

Coronado Etalons and Blocking Filters

Coronado by Meade SolarMax II Solar Filter sets with RichView tuning system consist of a 40mm, 60mm or 90mm diameter primary H-Alpha etalon filter with sub 0.7 Angstrom bandwidth and 5mm, 10mm, 15mm or 30mm Blocking Filter. The patented RichView tuning assembly allows direct tuning of the primary filter etalon. No other commercially available Ha telescope can provide the tuning range and accuracy of the SolarMax II.

Now you can tune for the highest contrast views of active regions, filaments and surface detail, or quickly and easily re-tune for prominences on the solar limb. A second etalon can be attached directly in the front of a SolarMax II or PST telescope of the same aperture to further increase contrast and image detail.

LPI-G Dual Purpose Camera Introducing the LPI-G Lunar, Planetary Imager and Guider, the camera that has been made for auto-guiding and astrophotography. With our Solar System imaging and guide camera, experience the universe on a whole new level. Lightweight and portable, LPI-G comes in either Colour or Monochrome, and a 1280 x 960 pixel CMOS sensor with the ability of capturing 28 frames per second at full resolution!

Dual purpose Camera

The LPI-G Camera is perfect for those looking to make the jump into astrophotography. As an astrophotography camera, the 1.25" barrel size allows you to use it in place of your eyepiece. You'll be imaging the Moon, planets, and the Sun (with appropriate filters) in no time with the high-performance CMOS image sensor. As a guide camera, the built-in ST4 auto guider port makes for easy connection. The LPI-G is compatible with a number of guiding and image capture programs such as Maxim DL, PHD, and FireCapture. The LPI-G comes with dedicated Meade astronomy software called Sky Capture, which allows you to record and process video, image capture and processing, as well as other features like dark field correction and image stitching.

Stella WI-FI Telescope Control Adapter

The adapter that allows you to wirelessly control your telescope. When paired with our Android and iOS app, StellaAccess, you can wirelessly control your computerized telescope with your smart phone or tablet. Creating its own Wi-Fi network or joining other Wi-Fi networks, the Stella adapter communicates and aids in controlling your scope to making observing a breeze! With StellaAccess, you now have a graphical interface for navigating the night sky. With this new adapter, gone are the days of handset limitations; now you have a full featured planetarium with 2.5 million objects at your fingertips that works in conjunction with your telescope! Designed by Simulation Curriculum for Meade computer-controlled GoTo telescopes, Stella uses the WiFi capabilities built into your Mac, PC, iOS or Android device to point your telescope in the sky. No Internet connection is required for Stella to work properly! Unlike Bluetooth, Stella requires no pairing and no special drivers. Supporting a DHCP server or client, Stella can enable your telescope to be remotely controlled. All you need is a WiFi enabled device like a laptop or desktop computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Android device. Stella creates its own 802.11 wireless network. By default, this is an open wireless network called "Stella", but you can rename and secure as you wish. Once you join this Wi-Fi network from any of your qualified devices, connect to your telescope using StellaAccess and you're ready to control your telescope from your smart phone or tablet. As long as your device gets its IP address by DHCP, no additional network configuration is required.

Apps & Software

To complete your Stella experience, you'll download and use our telescope control application, StellaAccess onto your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch or Android device. The Stella WiFi adapter works seamlessly with StellaAccess app as well as the SkySafari software. In addition to controlling your telescope, StellaAccess is a fully loaded astronomy database with over 2.5 million objects. StellaAccess gives you a graphical interface to help you explore the night sky, and can be used to control your GoTo telescope. With other features such as sky simulations, encyclopedic descriptions of celetial objects, and compass/gyro support, you'll have one of the most advanced planetarium apps available. Firmware is upgradable via your computer.
