Each cabinet drawer suspension has six heavyduty precision ball bearing rollers, two ball bear-ing floating rollers and two floating nylon rollers.

Lyon Platinum 250/251 SeriesModular Drawer Cabinets arewarranted against defects inmaterials and workmanshipfor five years when used in

accordance with the manufacturer’sspecifications and operating instructions.

Five-year warranty is based on single shiftapplications.

For multiple shift applications the warranty is:three years for two shifts — one year for threeshift applications.

How to Custom Design Platinum Series…

2Drawer Selection• To determine which drawers are needed to store your products, begin

by defining the products and arranging them according to height. (If you would like professional assistance in this regard, please call 1-800-323-0082.)

• Then, measure the height of products to be stored which will reveal the drawer heights needed.

• Based upon your normal inventory levels, determine the total square footage (area) needed for each productgroup according to drawer heights.

• Take the square footage arrived at above for eachdrawer height and divide that number by:

4.4 (for drawers in 30"w cabinets)3.1 (for drawers in 23"w cabinets)5.5 (for drawers in 36"w cabinets)6.9 (for drawers in 45"w cabinets)9.5 (for drawers in 60"w cabinets)

Example: Assuming a 30"w cabinet and a product group requiring 21 square feet: 21÷4.4 = 4.77 rounded to thenext whole number (5) reveals five drawers of that height are needed for this product group.

Repeat this step for each product group toarrive at the total number and heights ofmodular drawers needed.

• Add for future expansion simply bymultiplying the total square footage for anyproduct (height) grouping by the percent ofincrease anticipated.

• Based on your total drawer requirementsand your initial cabinet selection(s) frompage 59 (STEP 1) you can now verify yourcabinet choices, making sure that thecabinets selected will accommodate thedrawers required—simply by adding up thecatalog numbers of the drawers to equal thecatalog number of the cabinet. For example:

• Be sure to consider ergonomic factors for storage and retrieval: Fast-moving, highactivity items are stored together with fastmovers located in front (prime pick areas)for easy selection. Prime pick areas aregenerally located just below waist-level andabove for quick visual and physical access.Slower moving items can be stored in lowerdrawers.

Six standard colors offer the potential for as many as 36cabinet-and-drawer color combinations. To specifycolor(s) for Platinum Series modular drawer cabinetsTWO PREFIX LETTERS must be added to the catalognumber of each cabinet. The FIRST LETTER defines thecolor of the CABINET, while the SECOND LETTERdefines the color of the DRAWERS within the cabinet. BP 250-680 for example, designates a Wedgewood Bluecabinet with Putty Drawers.
