Sir, I am a classical music aficionado and look forward to theannual Marghazhi music season which will be commencingshortly. However, over the years, the patronage has beencoming down not only owing to the lack of interest of the currentgeneration but also due to the lackluster performances, evenby leading artists. What is it that a rasika like me with only anear for enjoyable music and unaffected by knowledge or thetechniques of singing expect each year? We rasikas are boredwith the rendition of the same old popular songs year after year.Attention should also be paid to the components of a perfor-mance for which ‘Ariakkudi’ was justly famous. There should bea proportionate blend of a bhajan, a gazal, a tumri and such likefare to keep the audience enthralled. Today’s generation wantsa variety and innovation and the performers should keep thatin mind to attract rasikas. Oil companies to launch DBTL scheme soonSir, As per the govt. notification, oil companies IOC (Indane),

HP (HP Gas) and BPCL (Bharat Gas) will be implementing the‘Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG’ (DBTL) scheme from nextJanuary. The move is to ensure that the subsidy which isavailable to domestic consumers does not get misused. Atpresent, a consumer is directly availing subsidized rate on 12refills in a year. Once the DBTL scheme comes into operation,consumers will have to pay the full value and the subsidyamount will later get credited to their designated bank account.

Consumers having Aadhaar cards, should fill in forms 1 and2 which can either be obtained from the LPG distributor ordownloaded from the website www.mylpg.in. Those withoutAadhaar cards need to fill in forms 3 and 4. The filled-in formsshould be submitted to the bank and the LPGdistributor respectively. No white board bus on 12C routeSir, At present, MTC is only plying deluxe buses on the 12C

route. The ticket rates are much higher compared to the whiteboard (ordinary fare) MTC buses. The service is infrequent andhence the buses are often overcrowded. It is a popular route fora number of students, office goers and senior citizens like mewho regularly visit temples en route. Process undelivered Aadhar cards beforere-issuing new ones

Sir, The process of registering Aadhaar Card with LPGdistributors has begun. In this connection, a number of personswho have already registered their biometric data are yet toreceive their Aadhaar cards. It is understood that a largenumber of Aadhaar cards could not be delivered as the addressprinted on them were either incorrect or not traceable. Thereis a huge pile of such cards in post offices. For such cases, re-registration or re-issue of cards may lead to misuse of theundelivered cards. I request the concerned authorities to firstprocess the undelivered cards before re-issuing duplicate cardsand also postpone the process of registration of Aadhaar cardswith LPG distributors to avoid any foul play. – T.V. Green Café, which was recently opened at 27/12, Crescent ParkStreet, near Natesan Park, T. Nagar, serves food prepared only withorganically grown ingredients.

Nagar) had mar-ried Hajin in March this year.His mother Shajinisa allegedlyused to harass Hajin and alsophysically abuse her. This ledto fights between husband andwife as she wanted to go andlive separately.

On the night of Nov. 26,Shajinisa in a fit of anger pouredboiling water on Hajin who sus-

tained serious burns.Neighbours who rushed in onhearing her screams admittedher in KMC Hospital. On thebasis of the statement givenby Hajin, police arrestedShajinisa who was at her homeand launched a hunt for Ha-meed. They later came to knowthat the person who had com-mitted suicide at Egmore Rail-way Station was Hameed.

His body was identified byhis mother.
