Our goal is to promote lifelong fitness and health with our students. Here are three main ways that you all can improve your family’s health. 1. Eat Dinner Together · Family meals are a good time to introduce healthy foods. · Turn the TV off and listen to one another about your day. 2. Be Physically Active Together · Go for a family walk around your neighborhood. · Go to a park and play! · Play hide-and-seek. 3. Limit Screen Time · The more screen time you have, the less active you are. So, tune it out, turn it off, and get moving! Family Challenge! Plan a meal to cook and eat together with your family. Write it on a card and make the meal together. Try to include all of the food groups into your meal! Save it and use it again! If you have any questions about archery or P.E. in general please contact me via email [email protected] or call the school (889-5146) and ask for Coach Wilson.

Counselor's Corner  Word of the Month: Talents Counselor’s Corner - November

Hello from the Counselor’s Corner!!! October was a very busy month! We worked on commitment as our word of the month and we celebrated Red Ribbon Week. We are ready now for November’s word of the month: Talents. Talent can appear in any form, but may need drawing out in order to shine. Here are tips for tapping and nurturing your child’s natural gifts: 1. Be on the look out! Be aware of your child’s interests! 2. Provide opportunities. Talents need openings to develop. 3. Nurture identified talents. Praise and encourage improvements and milestones! 4. Provide background enrichment – take every opportunity to broaden and enrich understanding of the subject! The PES Counselors are: K – 4th grade – Kelly Ault 5th – 8th grade – Kayla McDonough

The activity teachers pick one student from each grade level once a month who exhibits outstanding behavior in activity classes! Please encourage your child to be on their best behavior! The students who

make this list are awarded with donuts before school!
