Dear Friends and Parishioners,
With heavy hearts we regretfully announce the cancellation
of the Holy Family Entertainment Tent 2020 due to
concerns surrounding Covid19. While the Grand Blanc
Chamber of Commerce has not, as of this date, cancelled
Grand Blanc Fun Fest 2020, we have made this decision
independently due to contractual agreements tied to this
event. We look forward to hosting the Holy Family Enter-
tainment Tent again during the 2021 Grand Blanc Family
Fun Fest.

God bless and please stay safe. We look forward to when
we can all gather together again!

sources) for details and plans to reopen public Masses
under the guidelines from our Bishop.
“Return to Mass" Guidelines
published by the Diocese of Lansing

The Diocese of Lansing has today published guide-
lines aimed at assisting parishes to safely reopen
public
Masses by the end of the month.

“The Sacrifice of the Holy Mass is the most “essential
service” ever gifted to humanity,” said Jeremy Priest,
Director of Worship for the Diocese of Lansing, May
13, Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

“These new guidelines will help parishes take small
but sure and certain steps in the coming days and
weeks towards safely resuming public Masses in a
prudent and sensible way and with a commitment to
the highest standards of public health.”

Beginning on Monday May 18, parishes across the
Diocese of Lansing will be able to welcome a maxi-
mum of 5% of their church’s seating capacity for dai-
ly Masses, Monday to Saturday. Parishes are en-
couraged to be
creative and apostolic in how they allocate these
places at Holy Mass.

Today’s guidelines set out the safety and hygiene
expectations that will accompany that gradual return
of Mass including the practicing of social distancing
and rigorous sanitation measures including the wear-
ing of face masks. Parishes are also highly encour-
aged to continue offering livestream Masses online.
Then from Friday May 29, public Masses are due to
return to the Diocese of Lansing with the number of
those able to attend Holy Mass increasing from 5% to
a maximum of 25% of a church’s seating capacity.

The obligation upon all Catholics to attend Sunday
Mass remains suspended across the Diocese of Lan-
sing until, at least, July 31.

The gradual reopening of Masses comes two months
after the Diocese of Lansing suspended public litur-
gies in an attempt to help stem the spread of the
COVID19 virus which, so far, has stricken over
47,000 people across Michigan, killing at least 4,500.
May they rest in peace.

Sometimes people choose
to remember a loved one
who is deceased or to hon-
or a special occasion by
donating flowers for the
altar. We order from our
regular florist so that the
arrangements are a standard size and match the décor of
the season. The cost is $40. Currently May 31, June 14,
21, 28, all of July, and all of August weekends are open
for Altar Flowers.

If you would like to remember your loved ones in this spe-
cial way and help make our church beautiful, please call
Theresa in the parish office, 6944891.

A private family
Mass was held at
Holy Family for
Arthur Puzycki.
Art, age 89, died on Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was born
on November 1, 1930, in Detroit to Henry and Caroline
Puzycki. He married Carol Anne Reinke on June 30,
1962. Art is survived by his wife, their five children: David
(Janet), Ken (Barb), Mary (John) Seeterlin, Jim and Mark,
as well as eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by
three siblings and a granddaughter.

Lord, we remember in our prayers Arthur Puzycki, whom
you have called to be with you. May the calming peace of
your love be with his family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O
Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.
Please Pray for the Ill and Their
Caregivers
Please remember in prayer
those listed in the May 3
bulletin and those listed in
the Parish Book of Intercessions located in the chapel.
Newly added: Carolyn Bissett.
"No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's
life for one's friends." Christians are no strangers to
sacrifice. Jesus lays down his life for our redemption,
martyrs remain faithful to the end, and every believer
faces "deaths" in the spiritual life when love requires
a reordering of preference and priority.

On Memorial Day, we honor those who laid down
their lives for their nation and for the values we es-
pouse freedom, justice, and a better world for our
children. In a day that often fills with barbeques and
boat launches, remember to take some time in pray-
er! Intercede for those who have died and for the
loved ones they left behind, and pray for peace on
earth.
Parish Book of Intercessions
At weekend Masses we always pray for those intentions
listed in our Parish Book of Intercessions. Since you do
not have access to the book at this time, if you would like
to add any thing or any person to the book for prayers,
please email [email protected]. We will print up a list weekly
and get it inserted into the book for Sunday.
