“I’m Free”
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I’ve left behind some misery. My days of youthful agility
Were no longer a possibility. My weak joints and cloudy eyes
Were longing for the heavenly skies. Before I lost all dignity
You let me enter eternity Don’t grieve for me, You’ve set me free,
Just remember how I used to be!

On Monday, May 29, 2017, God sent his heavenly angels down
to escort Mable E. Ellis, 91 years of age, from her earthly home to her eternal home.
Mable, known as Elizabeth, was born on April 2, 1926 to the
Robert Ellis, Sr. and Mable G. Ellis in Norfolk County, VA.
She was previously employed as a cook at the Tip Toe Tearoom in

Mable’s favorite pastime was cooking for her family. She will be
greatly missed by all.
Mable is predeceased by her parents, Robert Ellis, Sr. and Mable
G. Ellis and her son, Lemuel Ellis.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted
daughter, Thelma L. Ellis; her nephew, Robert Ellis (who she considered her son);
her nieces, Vivian Garris, Carol Ellis, Mable Ellis-Boone, Esther Covan, Sonora Knockum, Judy Stone and Vora White and a host of other relatives and friends.
